African Dancehall Artist Godson Collaborates With Karamanti On New Song & Video

Godson, an independent producer and recording artist based in Malawi, has just released a brand new single. The Afro-reggae tune, titled How We Livin, is done in collaboration with Jamaican lyricist Karamanti, someone with whom he has worked before.

How We Livin is a powerful record that brings to light the reckless actions taken by most politicians and world leaders, which more often than not, results in a penurious lifestyle for the people they were elected to serve.

To drive the message home, both Godson and Karamanti created and shared the song’s official video. It was just uploaded to, and can be viewed on Karamanti’s YouTube channel

Blakkwuman22 Music Presents The “Blood Sacrifice Riddim”

Jamaica-based record label, Blakkwuman22 Music, has just released the Blood Sacrifice Riddim, a five-track world music compilation that’s fused with modern dancehall. The EP was conceptualized and executed by label owner and lyricist Karamanti

Having successfully produced records with the likes of Lt. Stitchie, Stonebwoy, Mikey General, and many other accomplished artists in the past, Karamanti was deliberate in selecting the performers for this project.

That said, the first person she reached out to was St. Ann’s singer-songwriter Yahdeen Essence, someone she holds in high regards because of the spiritual messages always present in Yahdeen‘s music. Unsurprisingly, Yahdeen came through with a powerful song called Deliver Us. Emerging artist and long time friend Tenshon was next on the list. Based on their relationship, he immediately committed to the project, and even brought in Wiseman, another singer with whom he ended up doing a collaboration titled Did It Again.

Finally, Karamanti was fortunate to get veteran vocalist Turbulence to voice on the rhythm. The two  just happened to be at the same studio at the same time, and although they have worked together in the past, the proper protocols were followed, resulting in Turbulence and his crew Higher Trod doing a beautiful love song, dubbed I Found HerKaramanti, for her part, delivered two songs on the EP, the title track, and an interesting piece called I See Dead People

The Blood Sacrifice Riddim is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal etc. It went live on all streaming platforms on October 13, 2023, courtesy of Blakkwuman22 Music
