Twelve Tribes of Israel to Celebrate 50th Anniversary in New York City

The Twelve Tribes of Israel U.S.A. Inc. will mark a major milestone on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with a special celebration commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Twelve Tribes of Israel in New York City.

The anniversary event will be held at the organization’s headquarters at 121-17 Farmers Blvd. in Queens, with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. The evening will feature devotion at 8:00 p.m., followed by a stage show beginning at 10:00 p.m. Refreshments and food will also be available, with security checks in place.

A strong lineup of performers and personalities is scheduled to appear, including reggae legends Freddie McGregor, Sister Carol, and Johnny Osbourne, along with Chino McGregor, Winston Zebulon the First, Willow Wilson, Tasha T, Prince Aloysius, Cherry Rock Levi, Orthodox Issachar, Ras Negus, Idrea Zebulon, Jeremiah Reuben, Lourie Love Levi, Jose Naphtali, Metaphysics Judah, Ras Jem, Sidney Salmon, Louis Griffiths, Ras Atiba, and Samuel Kinghorne.

The musical atmosphere will be supported by selectors Roger Reuben, Lion Asher and DJ Jeremiah Reuben, with Jah Wise Tippertone Sound featured as the special guest selector.

Light and Life Ministries to Host Live Concert Featuring Min. Goddy Goddy & Others

Light and Life Ministries is set to host a live concert on Saturday, October 17th, featuring gospel minister and recording artist Min. Goddy Goddy, alongside Min. Roxanne Robinson and Psalmist Shenequa, with additional guest performers to be announced.

The event will take place at Light and Life Ministries, located at 22 Elrose Ave. in North York, Ontario. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the concert running from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Admission is $50.00 in advance and $60.00 at the door. Tickets are available for purchase through Eventbrite. Organizers are encouraging attendees to arrive early to secure seating for what promises to be an evening of uplifting worship and gospel music.

Vintage SonFest Set to Bring International Lineup to Barbados

Gospel music fans in Barbados are set to experience an evening of faith, music and ministry when Vintage SonFest takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the UWI Graduation Tent, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The event is being presented as “Lifting Up the Name of Jesus” and is a Kingdom Culture International production, done with support from TouchStar Group.

The concert will bring together an international lineup of gospel artists representing Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States. The featured performers include Jamaican gospel veterans Prodigal Son and Junior Tucker, U.S.-based artist Jozee, Barbadian singer Jude Clarke, Jamaican artist Shepherd, and Trinidad & Tobago’s Sherry Ann Maughan.

Admission is available at several price levels. Early-bird tickets are $50, while the listed contribution is $60 and the teen contribution is $35. Children 12 and under enter free with a paying adult.

UnWine Festival 2026

Grammy-nominated R&B artist Musiq Soulchild will headline this year’s UnWine Festival, hosted by Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) Parks & Recreation. The event takes place Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Patuxent River Park, located at 16000 Croom Airport Rd, Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Joining Musiq Soulchild on the lineup are Allure Band, Got My Own Sound, and Sirius Company, promising a full day of live music, food, and wine tastings under the festival’s “live more, play more” spirit. The show will be directed by Nori Noir, with non-stop music provided by DJ Dirty Rico.

Talib Kweli Confirmed for Cranium Festival in Ottawa

Legendary hip-hop artist Talib Kweli will take the stage in Ottawa on Thursday, September 10, 2026, as part of Cranium Festival 2026. The performance will take place at the Bronson Centre, where Kweli will perform with a live band from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Presented by Cranium Arts Project, the 19+ event will feature music by DJ Karyen and hosting duties by Cheko7even. The performance is part of the five-day celebration running September 9–13 across Ottawa, showcasing hip-hop, R&B, soul and Afrovibes while bringing together established and emerging talent.

Known for his thought-provoking lyricism and influential contributions to hip-hop, Talib Kweli has built an acclaimed career spanning more than two decades. His Ottawa appearance promises to be a highlight of this year’s festival, particularly with the added energy of a live band.

Cranium Festival 2026 also features a broader lineup of artists including Che_Nous, Lindasson, SLM, Romeo Don’t Die, Simora and Avery Jane, with performers appearing throughout the festival’s multi-day program.

Macka B & The Roots Ragga Band Set for London Performance at Soul Mama

Reggae veteran Macka B and The Roots Ragga Band are set to bring their blend of reggae and roots music to London on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM at Soul Mama Islington, located at 21 Parkfield Street in London, Great Britain.

Macka B is also currently promoting his latest single, “Memories,” a reflective reggae track recorded over the powerful Diverse Doctrine Riddim. “Memories” was released on July 23, 2026, via Chinelo Records.

Wayne Wonder Absent from Oasis Music Festival Set; Management Cites Broken Payment Agreement

Dancehall veteran Wayne Wonder failed to appear for his scheduled set at the second annual Oasis Music Festival on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, leaving fans in the crowd without an explanation in the moment.

The festival, presented by Chystar Promotions and Gombey Production, had drawn a lineup of Caribbean headliners including Masicka, Sizzla, Jahshii, Gentleman and Mr. Killa alongside Wonder, marking the event’s follow-up to a sold-out debut in 2025.

Hours after the show, Wayne Wonder‘s management issued a statement on social media apologizing to fans and offering an explanation for the no-show. According to the statement, Wonder and his band had traveled to Canada “excited and fully prepared” to perform, but the festival organizers allegedly did not honor the payment terms outlined in the signed performance agreement. The statement said multiple attempts were made to resolve the issue before showtime, but no agreement was reached, resulting in the cancellation of his appearance.

Management was explicit that the decision to pull Wonder from the show was not made by the artist or his team, seemingly placing responsibility on the festival’s organizers. The statement closed with an expression of gratitude to fans for their understanding.

As of this writing, Oasis Music Festival organizers have not issued a public response to the allegations. The dispute leaves open questions about what transpired between the two parties in the lead-up to the show, and whether the matter will be addressed further by either side.
