Canadian Music Week has announced that Kardinal Offishall will receive the Social Justice Award at the CMW Music Summit on June 10, 2023 at the Westin Harbour Castle. Iconic Canadian media personality Master T will host a keynote interview with Kardinal Offishall, followed by the presentation of this second annual award. The CMW Conference, Canada’s largest and longest-running industry conference, will take place June 8-10, 2023.

After years of earning global respect as one of Canada’s most energetic and innovative emcees, Kardinal Offishall has been a staple in the global music scene. Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli – collectively known as Black Star – will be performing at Brooklyn Bowl at 1009 Canal Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 27th.

The men are promoting No Fear of Time, their second studio album released on May 3rd, 2022, via podcasting network Luminary. Entirely produced by Madlib, the album marks the duo’s first full-length release in 24 years, following 1998’s Mos Def and Talib Kweli Are Black Star.

This event is 21 and older concert that will require a valid government-issued photo ID upon entrance. General tickets start at $80.
