Naomi Raine’s Story

Born in New York on April 9th to Lawrence and Marissa Felder, Naomi carried the torch passed down by her parents to spread the gospel through song. Standing on the word spoken over her parents that “their seed would bless the earth,” Naomi Raine has traveled to countless places sharing the message of Jesus Christ to thousands of people.

Whether songwriting, singing, or playing the guitar, she has always found it easiest to communicate to people through lyrics and melodies. Her desire to see the body of Christ united and empowered fuels her drive to make music that inspires others to worship God. This is evident in her first viral single, “Pour Me Out,” which gave language to a young audience desiring to live a surrendered life. Since then, Naomi has kept this message relevant through every project including “Back to Eden” – parts 1 and 2.

Naomi is featured on countless projects with some of the most acclaimed artists in Christian music: Todd Dulaney, J.J. Hairston, Bethel Music, Jonathan and Melissa Helser, and Israel Houghton, to name a few.

One of Naomi’s joys is singing with her new found family, Maverick City Music, who has taken the world by storm over the past few years. Together, they have touched generations of people and have been widely recognized as artists who are leading the masses to the heart of God. As a part of Maverick City Music, Naomi has earned multiple awards including, Billboard Music Awards, Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, and a Grammy award.

Fab 5 Band Will Be In Toronto To Celebrate Emancipation Day

Many years ago – on March 24, 2021 – the Canadian House of Commons voted unanimously to officially designate August 1st as the country’s Emancipation Day. It was on that day in 1834 that the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 went into effect across the British Empire.

Likewise, for Jamaicans at home and in the diaspora, August 1 represents the abolition of the dehumanising system which had enslaved people of African descent in the British colony for over 150 years.

As such, Jamaicans living in Canada have always had a huge Emancipation Day party, and 2023 will be no different. This year’s celebration is being incorporated into the Jambana One World Festival, happening at Gage Park in Brampton, Ontario on Monday, August 7th.

The organizers have tapped 60s reggae/soca band, Fabulous Five, to headline the event. The 45-year-old ensemble remains one of the best live show bands in Jamaica to this day. They will be joined by several top-tier Canadian artists.

Yahdeen Essence Seeks Guidance In New Single “Teach Me” (@Pandemicrecord1)

The 2002 Jamaica Independence Talent Competition finalist, Yahdeen Essence, is back with a new record called Teach Me. The song is one of four featured on the Passion Fruit Riddim, which is produced and published by Pandemic Records & Entertainment LLC

Having been active in the music industry since the tender age of 15, the St. Ann’s artist has committed to what is essentially the road less traveled. As opposed to doing the kind of songs that attracts a lot of attention in a short period of time, Yahdeen has instead chosen to create substantive music. Her songs are generally considered to be inspirational, motivational and/or spiritual.

Teach Me is penned and performed as an open prayer to God, and is sung effortlessly by the highly experienced vocalist. Not only does it add balance to the Passion Fruit compilation, but it also gives it a bit of diversity, as Capleton, Ras Kronik and Sizzla all took a more aggressive approach with their tracks.

And although Yahdeen Essence has recorded and released quite a few songs over the years, it is believed by everyone who’s heard it that Teach Me is one of her stronger tunes.
