World-A-Music Festival 2024 Announces Full Lineup

The organizers of the 2024 World-A-Music Festival have announced the full lineup. They are promising over 15 live bands, with approximately 25 individual sets. Some notable names on the program are Lutan Fyah, Queen Ifrica, Common Kings, Lion Heights, The Expendables, etc. The names of all confirmed acts can be viewed at world-a-music.com.

World-A-Music Festival 2024 will take place at Grimes Park (501 E Wintergreen Road) in DeSoto, Texas. It’s a three-day event that will run from October 18 to the 20th.

Big Daddy Kane Will Be At Sound Board In Detroit This Weds.

This Wednesday, September 25th, hip-hop legend Big Daddy Kane will perform at Sound Board at the MotorCity Casino Hotel (2901 Grand River) in Detroit, Michigan. This is an age-restricted (21+) live band show that will start at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Kane is a Brooklyn, New York M.C. who undisputedly defined the term “lyricist” in the world of hip-hop. Along with the lyrical ingenuity he brought to the genre, he also introduced innovative live performances as well. He was the first rapper to ever hold not one but two sold out shows at the world famous Apollo Theater for women only.

Chris Walker & Regina Belle Are Confirmed For This Year’s Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo

Chris Walker and Regina Belle will take the Ziegenbock Music Stage on Wednesday, October 9th, during the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo to deliver sets that will feature a mix of soul, rhythm-and-blues, and jazz.

Rub-A-Dub Sundays with Echo Minott and Jahnny Minott

Veteran reggae artist Echo Minott is booked for Denmark’s popular roots party, Rub-A-Dub Sundays. He is scheduled to perform on Sunday, October 27th, and will be joined by his equally talented son Jahnny Minott.

Rub-A-Dub Sundays are held at H15 Lounge (Halmtorvet 15 Grå Kødby 1700) in Copenhagen, Denmark; admission is 150 Kr.

Empress Pro Foundation Presents Pressure Busspipe In South Africa

African reggae artist Empress Pro, by way of her foundation with the same name, will host U.S. Virgin Islander Pressure Busspipe in South Africa on Saturday, September 28th. The occasion is a benefit concert that will hopefully raise funds to help local communities through various initiatives: education, empowerment, and economic development.

It will be presented at the Enos Mafokate Equestrian Club in Soweto, and in addition to Pressure Busspipe will also feature a slew of local acts. General admission tickets are R50, while VIP is R200.
