Dancehall Artist Teflon Says He Has “Crack The Code”

When he came on the scene in 2004, Teflon captivated reggae-dancehall fans with his breakout hits “Bless Me Jah” and “Holding Onto Jah Jah Love.” Both songs flooded the airwaves so much so that he became highly sought-after by some of the industry’s biggest producers, who all wanted to have the St. Mary native record on their rhythms. Not only was Teflon getting a lot of radio rotation at the time, but he was also dominating stages at home and abroad.

Surprisingly, after what was clearly years of a consistent upward surge, Teflon‘s career seemingly leveled off, leaving many to speculate about what was happening with him behind the scenes. What we all found out later is that the Young King was busy learning the business so that he could achieve success on his terms.

Onlookers got a glimpse of that success during the COVID-19 pandemic. When we were all forced to slow down and, in some cases, stop, that is when we noticed that Teflon was trending almost every week with either a new song, music video, mixtape, or album. His positive movements continued after the pandemic, and now he is always touring, and most, if not all of his recent releases are on heavy rotation worldwide.

The master lyricist summed up his current situation on the dancehall record “Crack theCode.” The song was published at the end of October and, as such, is now available on all streaming platforms.

Dub Chemist Muzik Presents “Royal Plus Riddim”

In the first quarter of 2024, Jamaican producer Dub Chemist, who is now based in America, released five individual singles on an instrumental called Royal Plus Riddim. On its own, the gentle, groovy reggae beat charms listeners with its authenticity. It comes across as a beautiful blank canvas on which each artist painted a different vision with their words and melodies.

The project features “Paradise” by Raquel Sellars“Love Over All Things” by BlacSpade“Trim Trim Trim” by Pashon Minott“Nuh Waan See Yu” by I-Tru Jah,” and “Blend & Mend Again” by Magano. BlacSpade and Pashon Minott songs highlight and celebrate the Rastafarian way of life, while I-Tru Jah and Magano lament on the many challenges and changes we are all confronted with while on this journey. As for Raquel Sellars, she delivered a strong song that is all about honoring reggae music.

The previously mentioned tracks can be streamed and downloaded on Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, Spotify, Tidal, and all other digital music platforms.

Orlando Octave Is Carrying A “Heavy Load”

In a genre that is dominated by vain and prideful messages, Orlando Octave definitely stands out. The Trinidadian soca artist has become known for creating intense, socially conscious, thought-provoking music, some of which have been removed from YouTube because of their content.

Orlando‘s latest tune, “Heavy Load,” released on November 6th, 2024, is already capturing attention. If you have not yet heard it, click here or on the image above to check out the official video, and remember to like, comment, and share.
