On Saturday, June 29 from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. local time, international recording artist Gramps Morgan will celebrate his birthday at the Crown Hill Theatre, located at 750 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
This special event will see both Gramps and several of his musical colleagues performing live. He will also use the opportunity to pay tribute to his brother Peetah Morgan, who passed away earlier this year. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.

The Spiral Mixers, a new all-star music ensemble founded by singer, songwriter, musician, and producer Josh Harris, are thrilled to announce that their debut album “Crossing Bridges” is now available on streaming platforms via Big Feet Records, the label owned and operated by Harris.
“Crossing Bridges” is a multi-genre LP featuring 15 inspirational and feel-good tracks that showcase the incredible talents of top-tier musicians and vocalists from around the world. On Friday, May 10th, 2024, the reggae man WormBass will release his highly anticipated new single, Sunshine. The love song, which several selectors have classified as reggae fused with world music, is an absolutely beautiful record that is sure to delight listeners.

In what is being described by business insiders as the most transformative power play in diaspora radio, Roadblock radio will on May 1, 2024, begin broadcasting 24×7 Caribbean content on 101.1FM HD3 in the tri-state area. The announcement was made by Roadblock radio founder and CEO Kacy ‘G City’ Rankine.
Rankine, who brokered the landmark deal, said he signed a contract with Audacy, Inc, the third largest radio company in the US in March. Audacy, Inc. owns 235 radio stations across 48 media markets. In November, 2017, the company merged with CBS radio.
Without specifically naming Caribbean personalities that will be part of the new station, Rankine said, “We have jocks lining up from NY, NJ, LA, Colorado, Florida, Jamaica, Trinidad, Africa and Haiti who will all be part of this new experience. We will play reggae, dancehall, soca, kompa music and everything in between. This will be big for the culture.”
