D&R Production will be celebrating African Unity at the Caribbean Breeze Banquet Hall – 276 Belmont Avenue – in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, May 25th. There will be performances by Turbulence, I Ras, Bally, Congo I, Fyah Heart, Mikey Jarrett and others. Doors open at 8pm (local time) and admission is $40 USD.

Duane Stephenson & Natural Black Bringing Dancehall & Reggae To The Compound In Queens

At the end of May – on the 27th – G6 Family, Kong Star Production and Mighty Super Rock will present an event called Dancehall & Reggae In The City, at The Compound – 190-01 Linden Blvd. – in Queens, New York.

They have tapped veteran reggae artists Duane Stephenson and Natural Black to headline the show, with support from emerging acts Avock, Berri, Flyame and Ricky Nevado. Additional music will be provided by selectors DJ Kenny, G6 Sound and others. Tickets are available via eventbrite.

The highly anticipated Redemption Concert – with headliners Beres Hammond, Anthony B, Buju Banton and Luciano – will take place at Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

The 2023 International Peter Tosh Day Reggae Festival will be held on Saturday, April 15th, at 4305 Degnan Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, from 12noon to 6pm (PDT). Presented by the Peter Tosh Foundation – in association with Q Bwoy Productions and Ladybea – the event is a full day of reggae festivities done in honor of the man affectionately referred to as Bush Doctor.

This is a free event, with limited capacity, that will highlight reggae music, culture and lifestyle. Jamaican cuisine will be available, and there is a highly anticipated performance by guest artist Bushman

The International Peter Tosh Day Reggae Festival happens every year – usually on the 20th – in celebration of the rich music legacy and life teachings Tosh left behind. In addition to being one of the core members of The Wailers, Peter also established himself as a successful solo artist and a key promoter of Rastafari.

Chronixx To Headline ‘City Splash Festival’ In The UK (@ChronixxMusic)

City Splash, the one-day festival dedicated to celebrating Caribbean and African music in Britain, returns on Bank Holiday Monday, May 29th! It will be back at the beautiful Brockwell Park in Brixton with seven stages and over sixty artists.

Some of the biggest names in reggae, dancehall, afrobeat and world music have been confirmed. The lineup includes: Chronixx, Max Romeo, Jah9, Lutan Fyah, General Levy, Koffee and many more. Additional information is available on the event’s website.

On Saturday, May 20th, Daulton Anderson – a presenter on WHCR 90.3FM – will host New York’s All Star Gospel Celebration at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church – 11 Sumpter Street – in Brooklyn, New York.

The event is being presented by Rogers Production, and will feature Le’Andria Johnson, Pastor Tim Rogers, The Gospel Legends, and many more ministers of the gospel. Additionally, there will be a special tribute to Keith ‘Wonderboy’ Johnson. Tickets can be purchased via eventbrite.

80s hip-hop trio, Digable Planets – which is made up of members Butterfly, Ladybug Mecca and Doodlebug – will perform at the House of Blues – 225 Decatur Street – in New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday, May 4th.
