Somerville, Massachusetts-based reggae artist Mighty Mystic will be performing at Moe’s Alley – 1535 Commercial Way – in Santa Cruz, California, on Wednesday, August 23rd.
As is the case with most events at Moe’s, this is a twenty-one and older show that’s scheduled to start at 8pm local time; with doors opening at 7. Mighty Mystic will be supported by other guests acts, as well as popular reggae selector DJ Spleece. Get tickets here.
As she continues to work diligently on her forthcoming debut album, Chronicles Of Love, Caribbean-pop artist Auraiya is also actively engaged in a nationwide media tour in support of the lead single, Pendulum. Having just shared the official video for the track, she thought it prudent to head out on the road to announce its release, and at the same time, use the opportunity to inform her growing fanbase about the upcoming LP.
Even though Pendulum went live on streaming platforms late last year, the visuals – which were directed by Auraiya and Paris Gordon – were only just published on digital and traditional TV. That said, Auraiya was a guest on TVJ Weekend Smile, this past Saturday, August 12th, where she talked about Pendulum, its video, and the album. She was also on Radio Jamaica the following day – August 13, and she’s got several other media stops on her agenda.

Friday, August 18th is the date for the Shabach Worship Gospel Concert at Duhaney Park Primary School (Auditorium) – 1 Bronte Way – in Kingston 20, Jamaica. It will feature performances by Rian Davis, Bradley Sutherland, Ronaldhino McLean, Sadra Madonna Lindsay, Orville Sutherland, and Nadine Blair & Perpetual Sounds of Praise.
Gates will open at 6:30pm, and tickets are going for $2,500 JMD for adults, and $1,500 for children.
Outta Nothing Production, a Jamaica based imprint, has just shared the visuals for Teflon‘s new single, Flip E Money. The track was released at the end of July (on the 28th), and has been gaining traction in dancehall circles since it came out.
The team is now following up with the official video, which was just published, and can be viewed on Teflon‘s YouTube channel. The Young King gave a very energetic, captivating performance in the clip.
