Lineup Announced For Joe Higgs Legacy Tribute

The Joe Higgs Foundation has begun to share the names of the artists and public figures who will be honoring Joe Higgs through music and memories on Tuesday, June 3rd. The father of reggae will be celebrated at the Bob Marley Museum (56 Hope Road) in Kingston, the place Higgs once called home.

So far the foundation has announced that Fredlocks, Marlon Brown, Kenardo ‘Maestro’ Ellis, Abijah, and Joe Higgs‘ daughter, Claudia Higgs, will be performing. The festivity, which is both in-person and online via joehiggsreggae.com, will begin at 7pm Jamaica time.

Jah Mason, Norris Man & Others Confirmed For Reggae Village In Trinidad On June 7th

On Saturday, June 7th, 7even Cities Entertainment will present Reggae Village, the gathering of the people. This live stage show will be held at one of the most picturesque places on the South Side of Trinidad, the beautiful San Fernando Hill.

Two of Jamaica’s reggae stars, Jah Mason and Norris Man, are on the lineup, along with Ghanian Afrobeat sing-jay Slim Flex and local artists Qmajur, Nisa, Gounzman, Dre Don, and others. DJs Fire Travis and Scantiliva Boss will be on the turntables. Click here to buy tickets.

Alwayne Love’s New Tune “Wake Up” Drops On May 30th

Since the release of his last record, “Africa The Motherland,” Alwayne Love and his management team at T25 Records have been working diligently to promote the track and develop strategic plans for the future. Among their strategies is the rollout of several singles over the next few months.

The first of the aforementioned singles is “Wake Up,” scheduled for release on May 30, 2025. Unlike “Africa The Motherland,” this upcoming song focuses more on the artist Alwayne Love. It not only showcases his talents as a songwriter and vocalist but also provides insight into his thoughts through its lyrics.

Cartwright Entertainment presents the 25th anniversary of Gospel Superfest. This is a live television recording that will be staged at Morgan State University—2201 Argonne Drive—in Baltimore, Maryland, on Saturday, June 7th, starting at 6pm local time.

Jekalyn Carr Will Perform In The Bahamas On June 27

‘You Will Win,’ that’s the name of the All-White Divine Worship Concert happening at The Amphitheatre (Woodes Rodgers Walk) in Nassau, Bahamas, on Friday, June 27th. It will be headlined by Grammy-winning gospel recording artist Jekalyn Carr.

In addition to Carr, the show will also feature several Bahamian gospel performers, namely, Shaback, Abaco Celebration Mass Choir, DJ Godson and the Church of God of Prophecy National Children’s Choir. Tickets can be purchased on bahamasetickets.com.
