Grambling State University (GSU) will launch its 2026 Homecoming Week on Monday, September 28, with a special concert headlined by Grammy and Stellar Award-winning Gospel powerhouse Le’Andria Johnson. The event also marks the beginning of the university’s historic 125th “Multiversary” celebration.

The concert will take place at T.H. Harris Auditorium on Reed Street. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM. The Accountant General’s Department (AGD) will host “Concert in the Courtyard,” a free musical event celebrating Senior Citizens’ Month, on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The afternoon of live music will take place in the AGD parking lot at 21 Dominica Drive in Kingston, and will feature performances by veteran reggae and lovers rock artist George Nooks, as well as winner of the JCDC 2026 Festival Song Competition, D’Burnz. The event will be hosted by broadcaster and media personality Dahlia Harris.

Admission is free, and attendees can look forward to soup and giveaways on the house. Additional parking will be available at the New Kingston Drive-In Cinema.
