Zally Returns With New EP “Am Reggae” (@ZallyBuff)

Recording artist Zally, the man with the unique raspy voice, is back with a brand new EP called Am Reggae. Released in late May, the independent project has a total of seven tracks and no features. Most importantly, it’s a well produced rhythmic record that’s filled with pragmatic messages about life.

When asked what inspired the EP, Zally said the following: “inspiration came from everything that’s going on in the world and around I, too much injustices, inequalities not to mention hate. Each song bring a different vibes, Am Reggae tells it all.”

Prior to Am Reggae going live on streaming platforms, Zally and his team in Florida shared the official video for the title track. Filmed in Largo and St. Petersburg, the beautiful visuals shows a dapper Zally performing the song in various locations while hanging with his son Zyan.

“Well am always recording new music, now is the time for some real reggae music no auto tunes. Plus I wanna bring forward original music. Too much copy cat, they all sound the same.” The preceding is a statement from Zally.

Capleton Issues Warning About Petty Thieves “Watch Out Fi Dem”! (@Pandemicrecord1 @capletonmusic)

Capleton is one of the most consistent artists in reggae-dancehall. He arrived on the scene in the late 1980s and began delivering hits from the very beginning: Bumbo Red, #1 Pon The Look Good Chart, No Lotion Man etc.

Fast forward to 2023, and the man affectionately referred to as King Shango is still at it! Capleton‘s latest single is Watch Out Fi Dem, a song in which he warns about the upsurge of petty thieves in society. Based on the references made on this record, one can only assume that it was inspired, at least in-part, by the recent yeng yeng bike robberies in Jamaica.

As he has consistently done throughout his career, the Grammy nominated deejay again tackles a very serious issue; but does so in a manner that makes it not just palatable to listeners who may otherwise reject such a message, but also entertaining.

Recorded on the Passion Fruit RiddimWatch Out Fi Dem is produced by Pandemic Records & Entertainment LLC. The Passion Fruit rhythm-driven compilation also features Yahdeen Essence, Ras Kronik and Sizzla Kalonji. It is available on Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify and all other music platforms worldwide.
