Free Gospel Event ‘The Biggest Give & Receive’ Announced for April 2 in Chicago

The Biggest Give & Receive takes place on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Greenwood Oasis in Chicago, Illinois. Doors will open at 6:00 PM, with the event officially beginning at 7:00 PM. The gathering is free to the public. It will feature a dynamic lineup of celebrated gospel artists, including Dorinda Clark-Cole, Crystal Aikin, Kelontae Gavin, Darrel Walls, and DeAndre Patterson.

Organized in collaboration with Inspiration 1390 and community partners, The Biggest Give & Receive is designed to go beyond entertainment by fostering a spirit of generosity and connection. Don Carlos & Geo Set for European Run with “New Horizon Tour”

Veteran reggae icon Don Carlos is set to return to Europe in April 2026 alongside his son Geo for the New Horizon Tour. The tour celebrates both legacy and evolution, showcasing the father-son collaboration while introducing new material from Don Carlos’ forthcoming New Horizon album.

Backed by live bands including The Upright Ones and Massive Genda Band on select dates, the tour promises a dynamic live experience rooted in authentic reggae tradition, blending seasoned artistry with fresh energy.

ATL Collective, in partnership with India.Arie, is set to present a special live event, Acoustic Soul 25, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the singer’s critically acclaimed debut album. The commemorative performance will take place on March 29 at Center Stage Theater in Atlanta, Georgia, with doors opening at 5:00 PM and the show beginning at 6:00 PM.

The event will feature a full live rendition of Acoustic Soul, the groundbreaking 2001 project that introduced audiences to India.Arie’s blend of soul, folk, and R&B. Widely regarded as a defining body of work within the neo-soul genre, the album includes standout tracks such as Video, Brown Skin, and Ready for Love.

Incredible Church, based in California, has announced a powerful weekend of worship and community celebration in observance of Easter. The upcoming festivities are centered on the sacrifice and resurrection of the Lord and Savior.

The weekend officially begins on Saturday, April 4, with a 12:00 PM worship service and dedicated Kids Church at 238 E 15th Street in Oakland. It continues on Easter Sunday, April 5, at 278 Grand Avenue, also in Oakland. Families are invited to arrive early for a specialized Kids Experience starting at 10:00 AM, followed by the main worship service at 11:00 AM. The Sunday gathering will feature a very special guest appearance by renowned gospel recording artist Kierra Sheard-Kelly.

Jamaica Gospel Star 2026 Extends Entry Deadline to April 17

The Jamaica Gospel Star 2026 competition is now accepting entries, with organizers announcing a new submission deadline of Friday, April 17, 2026. Presented by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the annual competition continues to serve as a major platform for discovering and showcasing gospel talent across Jamaica.

The competition is open to individuals and groups of up to four persons who are 16 years and older. Participants will have the opportunity to compete for over $1 million in cash and prizes, making it one of the most anticipated gospel music events on the local entertainment calendar.

Mega Banton and Terry Gajraj Headlined for Upcoming Caribbean Fusion Festival in Florida

The Caribbean Fusion Festival returns to Kissimmee Lakefront Park in Kissimmee, Florida, on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The event will run from noon until 7:00 p.m. This family-friendly festival is open to the public with free admission.

This year’s program features a dynamic array of musical talent and public figures, including Mega Banton, Terry Gajraj, and Adrianna Clark. Attendees can also look forward to live music from Sanky & The Band, with the atmosphere kept high throughout the day by DJ Code Red, DJ Chris Roctone, DJ Princess Chow, and MC Creig Camacho. The stage will also showcase traditional and contemporary performances from the Power House Family Steel Band, Flava Dance Troupe, Latin Duo-Nfusion, and the Nrityarupa School of Dance.

Organized by the Caribbean and Floridian Association, Inc., the festival is supported by a wide range of local partners and sponsors, including the City of Kissimmee and Star 94.5.

Ryder’s Room, Inc., founded by Grammy Award-winning artist Faith Evans, will present an Autism Awareness Community Event on April 12, 2026, at the Michelle and Barack Obama Sports Complex in Los Angeles. The free event, scheduled from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, is designed to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion while providing meaningful support to families within the autism and special needs community.
