St. D’acre Carnival

On April 1st, 2024, the annual Easter Monday St. D’acre Carnival will take place at the St. D’acre Community Center in Alexandria, St. Ann, Jamaica. This is a family affair that will have rock climbing, bounce-a-bout, zipliners, and other child-friendly entertainment and activities.

As for the grown-ups, there will be a live stage show with performances by Bounty Killa, I Octane, Sanchez, Shaniel Muir, Etana, and a surprise guest artists. Most importantly, this is a free event that’s open to the public.

Regina Belle Performs In St. Louis On April 7th

Breakaway Productions, in association with FOXY 106.9FM and WSIE 88.7 The Sound, present the one-and-only Regina Belle live in concert at Harris-Stowe State University’s Givens Auditorium (3026 Laclede Ave., St. Louis, MO.) on Sunday, April 7th.

R&B and smooth jazz saxophonist Tim Cunningham and comedian Nick Jackson are also on the show.

Lupe Fiasco Will Perform At Coachella’s Heineken House On April 14 & 21

The 2024 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, scheduled for two weekends: April 12-14, and 19-21, is once again welcoming the Heineken House stage. This is where hip-hop music lovers can catch the likes of Lupe Fiasco, T-Pain, Fat Joe and others.

Ruggu Dat!

On Saturday, April 27th, lovers of 80s/90s reggae-dancehall music are invited to Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston, Jamaica, as this era will be celebrated at the Ruggu Dat! 14K Golden Mic Awards.

Professor Nuts, a veteran dancehall lyricist who rose to prominence in the eighties, will be recognized for his contribution to the genre. Additionally, there will be performances by Agent Sasco and Lady G, with appearances and mic presentations by Beresford Hammond, Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, and Orville ‘Shaggy’ Burrell. Moe’s Alley Will Welcome Sister Carol On April 28

Legendary reggae artist Sister Carol will be passing through Moe’s Alley – 1535 Commercial Way – in Santa Cruz, California, on Sunday, April 28. This is a notable reggae show that will also feature special guests Honey B and Ay Que Linda.

Sister Carol is an electrifying Grammy nominated, award winning veteran in the sphere of reggae music. Also known as the Black Cinderella, she has produced nineteen albums over the past 40 years, toured the globe extensively, and appeared in several movies.

JaRIA Honour Awards 2024

The Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) will host the JaRIA Honour Awards on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel – 81 Knutsford Boulevard – in Kingston. The formal proceedings will begin at 7:00 p.m., however, the red-carpet media entrance will commence one hour earlier at 6:00 p.m..

There will be performances by Sevana, Joan Flemmings, Naomi Cowan, Kumar Fyah, Kevin Downswell, Ras I, Kuzikk, Bella Blair and Miguel. Click here for tickets.

Capleton Will Headline The 4:20 Fest In Santiago

4:20 Fest is a music and cannabis focused festival in Santiago, Chile. This year, it will take place at the Teatro La Cúpula (Fábrica 1503, Santiago, Región Metropolitana), and will feature artists that promote and endorse marijuana use for recreational and medicinal purposes.

The headlining act is international reggae-dancehall artist Capleton, who will be backed by his own Prophecy Band. Shamanes, Tiro De Gracia, Tianobless, Aflora, Boomer, Jose Dolores, Jah Sito, Mistah Dijah, Eterno Pakto, and Chakana Sound System are also on the program. Click here for tickets.
