The 2024 Sierra Nevada World Music Festival Is Cancelled!

Days before the event, the organizer of the 2024 Sierra Nevada World Music Festival has announced that they are cancelling this year’s staging. It was scheduled for June 21-23 in Boonville, California.

The following is an official statement from producer Gretchen Franz-Smith: “With a very heavy heart, SNWMF BNVL LLC must announce the cancellation of Sierra Nevada World Music Festival 2024, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.

We cannot apologize enough for this turn of events or the late notice. We have considered every option the last couple weeks but must face the harsh economic realities. We cannot express our gratitude and love to everyone who has supported SNWMF.”

Capleton’s “A St. Mary Mi Come From” Returns On August 5th

One of Jamaica’s most entertaining and charitable music events, A St. Mary Mi Come From, will be back in full swing at the Gray’s Inn Sports Complex in Annotto Bay, Saint Mary, on Monday, August 5th. Strategically scheduled around the nation’s Independence celebration, the expectation is that the turnout in 2024 will be bigger than that of previous years.

A St. Mary Mi Come From was initially conceptualized by reggae-dancehall megastar Capleton. It not only acts as a platform to showcase emerging artists, but through its staging, Capleton is able to demonstrate his commitment to charitable endeavors by making substantial donations to Jamaica’s schools, hospitals, etc., especially those located in the parish of St. Mary.

The media launch, which will be hosted by financial advisor and event curator Marlon Campbell, is being held at the Jamaica Pegasus Lawn this coming Wednesday, June 19th, starting at 7:00 p.m. local time. There, the event’s full program, including all confirmed performers, will be announced.

Famed British Singer Steve Edwards Collaborates With Dollarman On “Mountain”

Many years after achieving gold and platinum status with their respective releases, house/dance music giant Steve Edwards and multi-genre international recording artist Dollarman have, for the first time, joined forces on a record that perfectly displays each man’s uniqueness.

Titled Mountain, the club track is a mixture of 90s house and modern-day pop music. Notably, it possesses all the ingredients to reach as wide an audience as any of their earlier megahits. While each artist wrote their own verse, the song, which is on Dollarman‘s debut album Time, was produced and presented by BrownBabies Entertainment Group.

At its core, Mountain is a love song in which both Edwards and Dollarman express themselves to their love interests, telling their women that for them they will move mountains. The song is available on Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, and all other streaming platforms.
