McDonald’s Gospel Fest 2025

Emmy Award-winning producer and director A. Curtis Farrow, aka Irving Street Rep, is presenting four McDonald’s Gospel Festivals this year. The first is being held in Rahway, New Jersey, on April 5th, and it will be followed by 3 back-to-back stagings, one on May 9th and two on May 10th.

The May 9th show will be held at Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx, while the May 10th concerts will be at the Palladium Times Square.

All shows will feature performances by Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Karen Clark-Sheard, and Dorinda Clark-Cole, with the exception of the New Jersey concert, which will only see Yolanda Adams, VaShawn Mitchell, and Rich Tolbert Jr. taking the stage.

Steve Knight Now Available For Bookings!

Since the release of his latest album, “Steve Knight Returns,” which was published on streaming platforms at the beginning of February, 2025, reggae legend Steve Knight has been reconnecting with music colleagues from as far back as the late 1980s. Everyone is excited that the singer has indeed returned to reclaim his position as the “ladies’ man,” a nickname he received after sharing a song with that title early in his career.

Extremely pleased with the reception the record is getting, Steve is now preparing to head out on the road to perform the songs live in front of an audience. He is thrilled to sing for his longtime fans and possibly make some new ones. To that end, he and his team are announcing his availability for bookings for the remainder of 2025 and going into 2026. Now based in Canada, Knight is able to travel to any country on any of the seven continents in the world.

Steve Knight‘s extensive catalogue includes hits like “Robber Man,” “Tell Them Already,” “Love Me Entertainment,” “The Girl Is Mine,” done with Papa Beeto, and “If You Want Me,” and that is just to name a few.

Former Gaza Empire Member Avalanche Now A Minister Of The Gospel

After spending approximately 9 years as a member of Vybz Kartel‘s Gaza Empire, where he remembers being told not to mention God in his songs, running from gunshots during a shootout, and having other negative and distasteful experiences, recording artist Avalanche stayed faithful to the crew even while Kartel was in jail.

By the time Kartel was arrested in 2011, Avalanche—whose real name is Paul Clarke—had migrated to the United States. It was while living there and still an active participant in the Gaza Empire that he got a message from God instructing him to change his life. Having always been a believer, despite how he was living, that instruction led to him almost immediately getting baptized and doing a complete 180 with his life.

Fast-forward to 2025, and Prophet Paul, the moniker he now uses, is ready to unleash his first single as a gospel-dancehall artist. The song, titled “Open Door,” will be available on streaming platforms in a matter of days, but Paul and his team are sending exclusive copies to members of the media (and DJs) now.

It should be noted that although Avalanche now goes by Prophet Paul and he’s no longer involved in secular music, he is still lyrically gifted and even more fiery than he was before.

Timbaland Surprises Fans With “Timbo Progression”

On March 28, record producer, rapper, singer, and songwriter Timbaland surprised us all with a ten-track afro-inspired album call “Timbo Progression.”

Although the project has been labeled Afrobeat, it is important to know that what Timbaland has given us has a more ancient feel as opposed to what we’ve become accustomed to hearing when we play Afrobeat records today.

In other words, Timbaland‘s rhythms are more relaxing and soothing and do not necessarily give off a party vibe like much of the Afrobeats we hear nowadays. Even the two visuals that he shared from the album are both heavily influenced by ancient African culture and lifestyle. Have You Heard Kiprich’s Latest Single “God Pickney”?

Recently, dancehall recording artist Kiprich was charged by the Jamaica Constabulary Force for the use of audio and audiovisual communication to promote criminal activity. He is now out on bail and should be back in court sometime in May of this year.

While he awaits the new court hearing, the deejay is responding to the unfortunate situation via his music. In mid-February, he shared a timely inspirational track called “God Pickney.” If you have not yet heard it, click here or on the image above to check out the official video, and remember to like, comment, and share.
