KRS-One Confirmed For Rock The Bells Festival 2025

Much is being made about the confirmation of the hip-hop teacher KRS-One to the upcoming Rock The Bells Festival, and rightfully so. KRS-One rose to prominence as part of the rap group Boogie Down Productions, which he formed with DJ Scott La Rock in the mid-1980s, and he has been considered an integral part of America’s hip-hop culture ever since.

This year’s Rock The Bells Festival is set for Saturday, June 28, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Northwest World Reggae Fest 2025

Now in its 21st year, the annual Northwest World Reggae Festival will be presented on Friday, July 18, Saturday, July 19, and Sunday, July 20. It will be held at Mt. Hood in Oregon (near Brightwood).

Friday’s show will feature performances by Teflon, Mikey Dub, Dre Z Melodi, Young Shanty, Purity Attack, and Jallanzo. On Saturday, reggae legend Sister Nancy will headline, with support from Marlon Asher, Reggae Angels, Keteis Oyonde, I-Taweh, Brady Shammar, Kava Jah & The Remedy, and ZeeCeeKeely. The final night will wrap up with sets from Prezident Brown, Jubba White, and Kalan Wolfe & The Shift.

Jagged Edge to Perform in Detroit on June 28th

Atlanta’s R&B group Jagged Edge will be performing at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre in Detroit, Michigan, on Saturday, June 28. This concert is part of the group’s U.S. tour, which began at the end of March. Click here to buy tickets.

Early in their career, Jagged Edge signed with record producer Jermaine Dupri‘s So So Def Recordings. They subsequently released a series of hit singles, including “Let’s Get Married” and “Where the Party At,” most of which were produced by Dupri.

Atlanta’s Gospel Brunch ft. The Paces

The Ward Singers, Davis Sisters, Clark Sisters, and the Anointed Pace Sisters have gotten together to form The Paces, an anointed musical family. They made their return in December 2024 when they released “U Know 2.0,” a spin-off of the Pace Sisters 1997 songs with the same name.

The Paces will be taking their ministry to Atlanta’s City Winery (650 North Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA) on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, for their Gospel Brunch. This event will commence at 12 noon. Get additional information here.

Kid Cudi Will Be At Cali Vibes On June 8th

Fresh off his appearance at the Sean Combs trial in New York, where he took the witness stand and gave testimony, rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and fashion designer Kid Cudi is now gearing up for the Cali Vibes Festival.

Cudi is one of the headlining acts at the two-day event, which will be staged at Marina Green Park, 386 East Shoreline Drive, in Long Beach, California, on June 7th and 8th. He is scheduled to perform on Sunday, June 8th, alongside Ludacris, YG Marley, Steel Pulse, and others.

Anthony B, Hopeton Lindo, Spragga Benz & More Confirmed For Freddie McGregor & Friends

Fredrick McGregor, publicly known as Freddie McGregor, will host a large-scale birthday party on Sunday, June 29, at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater, located at 20405 Amphitheater Circle in Boca Raton, Florida. In addition to celebrating Freddie McGregor‘s 69th birthday, this event will also highlight his decades-long career as a distinguished ambassador of reggae music.

The team at Big Ship, Freddie McGregor‘s label, has invited some of the most prominent names in the reggae-dancehall industry to join Freddie for this special occasion. Performances will feature Hopeton Lindo, Anthony B, Spragga Benz, Mykal Rose, Chino McGregor, Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor, Perfect Giddimani, Teflon, and Frisco Kid.
