International R&B star Regina Belle will be live in Jamaica on Saturday, May 6th. She will join reggae legends Marcia Griffiths, Glen Washington and George Nooks at Hope Gardens – 224 Old Hold Road – in Kingston for a pre Mother’s Day show.

Singer, songwriter, and classically trained pianist Alicia Keys has just announced her North America Keys To The Summer Tour. Produced by Live Nation, it will have approximately twenty-three arena concerts, starting on June 28th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Prior to North America, Keys will do eight shows in Latin America. The first stop there will be in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on May 3rd. All dates, locations and links to tickets are available on her website.
Music lovers in Lauderhill, Florida and the surrounding area are gearing up for the highly anticipated Jammin in the Park music festival at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium on Saturday, April 22nd.

Last month, Atlanta hip-hop group Arrested Development dropped a new project called On The Cutting Room Floor (A Mixtape). It has a total of ten tracks, one of which is a De La Soul interlude. Although they have added the words ‘a mixtape’ in the title, this is in fact a studio album; and an amazing one to boot.
As they’ve always done, the group blessed us with well produced and timely music, filled with conscious messages on banging beats. And in May, they will head out on the road to perform songs from this, and earlier LPs. Now that their new record – Liberation 2 – is out and getting great reviews, Talib Kweli and Madlib are engaged in a rigorous promotional campaign. Next month, on Friday, May 19, they will be at The Novo – 800 W Olympic Blvd- in Los Angeles, California, for a show that’s schedule to start at 8pm.
Kweli and Madlib describe Liberation 2 as a global call for unity through time and space. The album features African artists Cassper Nyovest and Seun Kuti; as well as collaborations with Q-Tip, Wildchild, Roc Marciano, Westside Gunn and the late Mac Miller. Talib also has songs with his children Amani and Diani. Liberation 2 is only available on Luminary.
On Friday, May 12th, two of R&B’s biggest boy-bands, Jagged Edge and Dru Hill, will be live in concert at the Arena Theatre – 7326 South West Freeway – in Houston, Texas. They will have as their special guests another incredible male ensemble, Shai, as well as singer, songwriter, and record producer Case.
This pre-Mother’s Day show will begin at 8:30pm local time, and passes are available via ticketmaster.
