The History Of Gospel Music

Christian Faith Assembly Community Church will share The History of Gospel Music at Mt. Calvary Word Of Faith Church (3100 Sanderford Road) in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. 

They will present a soul-stirring experience that traces the rich evolution of gospel music, from the days of slavery to the sounds of today. This is a narrated musical production that pays homage to the artists, traditions, and communities that shaped this powerful genre.

The extraordinary presentation features an ensemble of dynamic voices representing more than 20 churches throughout the Triangle. It will be hosted by Stellar Award winner Melissa Wade in the Water from The Light 103.9. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.

Head Into Reggae Month With Andrew Tosh At Roots Bamboo Beach Resort

The folks at Roots Bamboo Beach Resort have announced their 2025 Reggae Month schedule, and it’s good! The celebration begins on the last day of January – Friday, Jan. 31st – with reggae royalty, Andrew Tosh, the son of legendary singer/musician Peter Tosh.

Andrew is expected to take the stage at approximately 9:30 p.m. with the support of the incredible Hurricane Band. Early bird tickets, which can be purchased at Roots Bamboo, are available for US$25.00; it will be US$30.00 on the day of the show.

Spend Valentine’s Night With Terry Linen In Sav

Eleven Restaurant and Lounge, located at 1 Beckford Street in Savanna-la-Mar, Jamaica, will be hosting a Valentine’s Night party on Friday, February 14, from 7 pm to midnight. There will be a live fire show, live cooking, and live music.

Max Romeo, Third World & Others For Wickie Wackie Music Fest

Live music, sound systems, camping, yoga, drumming, beach bonfires, vendors, and Jamaican cuisine are what attendees at the 2025 Wickie Wackie Music Fest can expect. The two-day event, February 14 and 15, will be at Wickie Wackie Beach (8 Mile, Bull Bay) in St. Thomas, Jamaica.

Day one, February 14, will be all about sounds. There will be juggling by Uncle Ronnie (8 Mile Sound), Gabre Selassie (Kingston Dub Club), Natural High Music, Silly Walks Disco, Soundquate, Supersonic, and more. That will be followed by a day of live performances by Third World, Max Romeo, Xana, Azzizi, Ikong, Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith, Rory Stone Love, and others.
