Jon B and Yo-Yo Confirmed for Autism Awareness Event in LA on April 12

Ryder’s Room, Inc., founded by Grammy Award-winning artist Faith Evans, will present an Autism Awareness Community Event on April 12, 2026, at the Michelle and Barack Obama Sports Complex in Los Angeles. The free event, scheduled from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, is designed to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion while providing meaningful support to families within the autism and special needs community.

The event will feature a live performance by Jon B and will be hosted by hip-hop pioneer Yo-Yo. Attendees can look forward to a range of activities including community resource vendors, family support services, sensory-friendly experiences, live music, and entertainment for all ages.

Ryder’s Room continues its mission of empowering children and families with disabilities by creating spaces for connection, access to vital resources, and community engagement.

Sharon Marley Releases Debut Solo Album “Firebird”

Sharon Marley has released her long-awaited debut solo album, Firebird. The 11-track project, distributed by Tuff Gong International, showcases Marley stepping into her own artistic identity while honoring her rich musical heritage.

Firebird blends roots reggae with contemporary influences, using themes of self-discovery, spirituality, and cultural pride. The album features notable collaborations including Steppah with Big Youth and Island with Cedella Marley and Rica Newell, the latter of which supports the Humanity Ova Vanity charitable initiative.

Also included is Exodus Movement a reimagining that pays tribute to the enduring legacy of Bob Marley, further connecting the project to the family’s musical foundation.

The release of Firebird is accompanied by a growing collection of visuals, including the music video for Steppah featuring Big Youth, along with visuals supporting the single Island featuring Cedella Marley and Rica Newell. Moe’s Alley Welcomes Perfect Giddimani for April 11 Performance

Perfect Giddimani, known for his uplifting messages and roots-driven sound, is confirmed for Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz, California on Saturday, April 11, 2026. He will headline the show alongside special guest Eric Cotton, One Love Bomb, and Selecta 7.

Harlow’s and Late Nite Productions will host an evening of reggae music on Friday, April 17, featuring Jamaican artist Anthony B. Joining Anthony B on the lineup are Irie Rockers and Squarefield Massive.

21st Annual MLK Gospel Concert Returns to Miami with Kirk Franklin

The 21st Annual MLK Gospel Concert and Candlelight Memorial Service returns on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Commemorating the 58th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the event honors his enduring legacy through music, remembrance, and unity. It will be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center Knight Concert Hall in Miami, Florida.

This year’s concert will feature a headline performance from legendary gospel artist Kirk Franklin, whose known for blending contemporary sounds with gospel roots. Franklin’s performance will serve as a highlight of the evening.
