The Miramar Cultural Center | ArtsPark will present an evening of gospel music featuring Jekalyn Carr, joined by Anthony Brown, on Friday, November 20, at 8:00 PM. The performance will take place at the center’s Miramar venue, located at 2400 Civic Center Place, and is expected to draw music lovers from across South Florida.

Carr, a celebrated gospel vocalist, headlines the program, with Brown appearing as a special guest. The event will be hosted by Commissioner Avril Cherasard, who will welcome guests and help open the evening’s festivities.

The Miramar Cultural Center has earned strong recognition in the community, having been named a 2026 South Florida Sun Sentinel Favorites winner and voted Favorite Live Theatre. The venue continues to build on that reputation by presenting a diverse lineup of artists and performances throughout the year.

Today, Sunday, October 11, Gospel Fest ’26 officially opens Prairie View A&M University’s (PVAMU) Homecoming celebrations in Prairie View, Texas. The event is part of the university’s 150th anniversary milestone, celebrated under the theme “Rooted & Rising.”

Four-time Grammy Award-winning gospel legend Yolanda Adams headlines the event, joined by national recording artist Kelontae Gavin. PVAMU alumnus and gospel artist Dr. James Mable Jr. will host the evening.

The program will also spotlight the university’s student talent, featuring performances by the Baptist Student Movement Choir and Praise Dancers, PV Mime and One Accord, Jeremiah and the Messiah Singers, and the PVAMU Concert Chorale.

Gospel Fest ’26 takes place at the PVAMU Recreation Center’s Main Gymnasium, with doors opening at 3:00 p.m. and performances beginning at 4:00 p.m. The gospel programming is scheduled to continue until 9:30 p.m.

The 2026 Urban Revival Conference (URC ’26) is expected to gather thousands of believers across South Africa this November for a powerful two-city spiritual stint.

The event brings together an elite lineup of international and local faith leaders, including globally recognized American authors and apologists Jackie Hill Perry and Preston Perry, alongside international revivalist Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell and prominent local ministers Melody Gambiza and Victoria Sebatsane.

Credit Unions of Jamaica will present Praise in the Park 4.0 on Friday, October 16, 2026. The event is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 PM at the historic Emancipation Park in Kingston. The Caribbean Gospel Festival will celebrate its 15th edition with a historic first appearance in French Guiana on November 7, 2026, at the PROGT, the region’s largest cultural complex.

As part of its 2026 Homecoming festivities, Norfolk State University (NSU)’s annual Homecoming Gospel Explosion is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall. Doors are set to open at 5:00 PM, with the main event kicking off at 6:00 PM.

This year’s concert features four-time Grammy Award-winning artist Karen Clark Sheard, celebrated globally for her historic contributions to gospel music both as a solo artist and as a member of the legendary Clark Sisters. Joining her is multi-Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and choir director Tye Tribbett, known for his high-energy performances and genre-blending praise anthems.

The roster also includes acclaimed worship leader Will Johnson, the dynamic sibling gospel group Fraser 5, and a special performance by the renowned Norfolk State University Choir.
