The Hezekiah Walker Center for Gospel Music at Virginia Union University (VUU) will present a Juneteenth Concert on June 20th at 12PM, held at Barco-Stevens Lawn, 1500 N. Lombardy Street, Richmond, Virginia. The event is themed “Honoring Freedom – Celebrating Faith – Inspiring Unity.”

Gospel legend Shirley Caesar will appear as a special guest, joining the VUU Gospel Choir. The concert is sponsored by Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, offered by HealthKeepers, Inc., under the Virginia Medicaid Plan, and is presented in partnership with Virginia Union University.

Albuquerque is gearing up for a major free outdoor concert event this summer. The Freedom Celebration will take place at Balloon Fiesta Park on Friday, June 27, with doors opening at 4 PM.

Saturday, May 30 is dedicated entirely to leadership development, with the full-day Leadership Conference running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Melonia Waugh Shining Hope Foundation Jamaica Limited presents a Benefit Gospel Concert dedicated to empowering the next generation. Hosted by acclaimed gospel artist and Fort Worth native Kirk Franklin, the Celebration of Choirs will pay tribute to the spiritual foundations and musical traditions that have inspired generations throughout the ongoing journey toward freedom and empowerment.

The program will feature performances from several choirs and gospel groups representing the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including Antioch Fellowship Church of Dallas, DFW Mass Legacy Choir, Trinity Harvest Church of Hurst, Mount Olive Church of Fort Worth, Demarcus Williams and the CREW of Fort Worth, and Grace Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church of Fort Worth.

Award-winning gospel collective Nate Martin & SIGN are preparing to bring Chicago’s worship community together for “Homecoming: A Live Worship Album Recording,” scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Greenwood Oasis (7621 South Greenwood Avenue).

The evening will begin with a community tailgate at 5:00 PM, followed by the live album recording at 6:00 PM. Organizers are offering free general admission, while limited VIP access is available through Eventbrite.
