The City of Lauderhill will host a high-profile community event this Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Lauderhill Sports Complex. The Artist vs. Media & Selectors Celebrity Football Match, which will bring together prominent figures from the entertainment and media industries, is scheduled to run from 12 noon until 9 PM.
The roster for the match includes Mad Cobra, Mega Banton, Tony Curtis, Dexta Daps, Chuck Fenda, Jahshii, and Laa Lee. Other confirmed participants include Wayne Wonder, Mr. Vegas, Jigsy King, and Teflon, among many others. The Artist vs. Media & Selectors Celebrity Football Match is sponsored by Vice Mayor Richard Campbell and the City of Lauderhill, with additional support from Consul General Oliver Mair and Vice Mayor Marlon Bolton.
Beyond the featured football matches, attendees can expect a wide range of amenities and entertainment options. The Reggae Girlz made history by becoming the first Caribbean country to qualify for a FIFA Women’s World Cup. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup is scheduled for June 1 – July 1, 2019 in France. The Reggae Girlz will take on Brazil on June 9th, Italy on June 14th and Australia on June 18th during the Group Stages.
