Celebrating the Lives and Legacies of Denroy and Peetah Morgan

Family, friends, and supporters of reggae music and culture are being invited to gather at “A Celebration of Life,” honoring the late Ras Denroy Morgan Sr. and Peetah Morgan. The event is being presented by the Morgan Family in association with The Morganatty Group LLC.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 4 PM to 10 PM, the celebration will take place at 3540 Hwy 78, Suite 401 in Loganville, Georgia. Organizers are encouraging loved ones and supporters to come together to honor the lives and legacies of the two influential figures whose contributions to reggae continue to resonate globally.

The evening will feature special guests, live performances, drumming, music, food, drinks, and cultural activities designed to celebrate the spirit and impact of both men. Food will also be available for purchase from Jou Jous Food Truck.

Couleurs Urbaines 2026 Brings Reggae & Urban Sounds to Southern France

The 18th edition of the Couleurs Urbaines Festival is scheduled to take place from June 5-7, 2026 at the scenic Parc de la Navale in southern France. Widely regarded as one of the premier reggae and urban music festivals in the region, the annual event continues to blend reggae, dancehall, dub, afro, hip-hop and tropical bass music across three days of live entertainment.

This year’s lineup features an eclectic mix of international and francophone talent including Danakil, Clinton Fearon, Maureen, Kybba, Ronisia, THK, Bleu Soleil, Shannon and several prominent DJs from the European tropical bass and dancehall scenes. Reggae icon Capleton will take the stage at The Webster in Hartford, Connecticut on Friday, May 15, delivering a high-energy live performance alongside The Prophecy Band. The all-ages event will see doors opening at 7:00 p.m., with the show beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Known as the Fireman, Capleton has built a global reputation for his commanding stage presence, conscious lyrics, and a catalog of dancehall and reggae anthems that continue to resonate across generations. Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz, California will host an evening of classic roots reggae as Jamaican legends Israel Vibration take the stage alongside the iconic Roots Radics on Friday, June 19, 2026. Known for their enduring influence on the genre, the group’s return is expected to draw reggae enthusiasts for a night grounded in authentic reggae music.

The event will take place at the venue located at 1535 Commercial Way, with doors opening at 8:00 PM and the show scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM. Attendees can expect a live experience that highlights the signature harmonies and socially conscious themes that have defined Israel Vibration’s decades-long career.

Tickets are priced at $40 in advance and $45 on the day of the show. Organizers have confirmed that this is a strictly 21-and-over event. Patrons must present valid identification upon entry, and failure to do so will result in denied admission without eligibility for a refund.

Duane Stephenson Headlines International Red Carpet Affair: Awards & Dance in California

The upcoming International Red Carpet Affair: Awards & Dance is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Union Hall Ballroom (18355 S Figueroa Street) in Gardena, California. Headlining the event is international reggae recording artist Duane Stephenson, backed by the Jangala Roots Band. The lineup also features performances from King Rancho, Steven McFarlane, and the Piece of Paradise Band.

Several honorees will also be highlighted, including Eden Ramos, Wil Johnson, Patrick Williams, and Oh Dem Again, recognizing their contributions within the community and entertainment space. Music will be powered by selectors such as DJ Knight Rider, DJ Money, and Selecta Easy B, while hosting duties will be handled by Marcus B and Elaine Proby.

The evening begins with a VIP Meet & Greet from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by the main event running from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
