Legacy Honors Set for July 10 at the Baltimore Convention Center

Legacy Honors, presented by the Church of God in Christ, Inc. International Youth Choir and International Music Department, is a special celebration recognizing the remarkable contributions and enduring legacies of Dr. Myron L. Williams and Kirk Franklin.

Hosted by Evangelist Kierra Sheard-Kelly, Vice President of the International Music Department, and Dr. Myron L. Williams, President of the International Music Department, the event will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:30 p.m. in Main Hall E/F of the Baltimore Convention Center. The evening is presented under the leadership of Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Chief Apostle and Presiding Bishop; Superintendent Nathaniel Green, AIM Chairman; and AIM Co-Coordinators Marcus Johnson, Cecil Thompson, Coralynn “Cece” Douglas, and Mark Ellis.

Jambana One World Festival Returns to Celebrate Emancipation Day

The Jambana One World Festival will take place on August 3, 2026, at Brampton Sports Park, located at 7575 Kennedy Road South. Presented by TD, the free event runs from 1 PM to 8:30 PM and celebrates Emancipation Day with a lineup of reggae, soca, and Caribbean music.

This year’s festival features performances by Glen Washington, Exco Levi & High Priest, Joshua Lucas, Kairo McLean, Pan Masters, Tonya P, The Future Collective, and Yendi. The event will be hosted by Master T and Tanya Mullings.

In addition to live music, attendees can look forward to vendors, family-friendly activities, and a taste of Caribbean cuisine. The festival is supported by the City of Brampton and House of Kuumba.

International reggae recording artist Maxi Priest is among the celebrated performers confirmed for Boogietown, taking place on Saturday, July 11, at Apps Court Farm in Surrey, England. Motorcity All White Gospel Fest Returns to Detroit This August

C2 Productions has announced the upcoming Motorcity All White Gospel Fest, scheduled for Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the historic Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, 2600 Atwater Street in Detroit. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The festival will feature an outstanding lineup of gospel artists, headlined by Donald Lawrence & The Company and Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers. Also scheduled to perform are Jonathan McReynolds, Detroit’s own Dr. Toni Booker & Booker Productions, Le’Andria Johnson, Denise Tichenor, Mali Music, and Semaje. Goapele Brings “Closer” 25th Anniversary Tour to Keystone Korner Baltimore for July 4th Weekend

Baltimore’s Keystone Korner will host Goapele for a two-night, four-show engagement over Independence Day weekend, with performances Saturday, July 4 at 6 PM and 9 PM, and Sunday, July 5 at 5 PM and 8 PM.

The shows are part of Goapele‘s “Closer” 25th Anniversary Tour, marking a quarter-century since the release of her debut studio album, “Closer,” from 2001.
