Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Announces ‘2023 Revolt World’ In Atlanta

Revolt World, which expands on the annual REVOLT Summit, is heading to Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, September 22nd through Sunday, September 24th, at Pangaea Studios. It promises live entertainment, brand activations, masterclasses, and panel discussions from cultural leaders who play a role in empowering the Black community.

In honor of hip-hop’s 50th jubilee, nonprofit organization We Are Hip-Hop will represent the theme and pay homage to the global impact of the genre. Speaking of celebrations, the event, which is being presented by Walmart, will mark a historic milestone for REVOLT as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Along with Walmart, the three-day experience will also be supported by leading sponsor PepsiCo. PepsiCo will assist in bringing curated activations and engaging spaces for attendees, including a gaming house, wellness space, creator studio, podcast village, insights lab, and a career center.

New York’s 5X5 Block Party Series Kicks Off This Weekend

New York City Mayor, Eric Adams, has announced a set of concerts that will take place throughout the month of August, all in honor hip-hop’s 50th anniversary.

Dubbed the 5X5 Block Party Series, these shows will feature food vendors, interactive experiences, and educational-entertainment talks, as well as live performances by some of the most respected rappers and deejays. Below are the dates and locations for the 5X5 Block Party Series.

Wolf Trap On Schedule For ‘Masters of the Mic: Hip-Hop 50 Tour’

After previewing at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans last month, the Masters of the Mic: Hip-Hop 50 Tour is now in full swing. It officially launched on July 20th in Cincinnati, Ohio, and will be stopping at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia on Thursday, August 17th.

Masters of the Mic: Hip-Hop 50 Tour is the ultimate party bringing together the best and most respected MC’s of all time for one unforgettable night. Attendees will be treated to innovative wordsmith Big Daddy Kane, the original human beatbox Doug E. Fresh, conscious hip-hop pioneer KRS-One, legendary lyricist and MC Rakim, plus the storyteller Slick Rick. Special guests Roxanne Shante, hip-hop’s first female solo rap artist, and the great DJ Spinderella are also on the line-up.

Close Off The Month Of July At The “Harlem Festival Of Culture”

The Harlem Festival of Culture, which is inspired by Questlove‘s 2021 critically acclaimed documentary, Summer of Soul, goes down on July 28th, 29th and 30th at Randall’s Island in New York.

Attendees will be treated to indoor and outdoor music concerts, influencer dinners, moderated discussions, and film screenings. There will be live performances by Estelle, Bell Biv Devoe, Nadine Sutherland, Doug E. Fresh, Serani, Cam’Ron, Wayne Wonder, and that is just to name a few.

The Roots Will Be At College Street Music Hall On July 30

Hip-hop super group, The Roots, will perform live at College Street Music Hall (238 College Street) in New Haven, Connecticut, on Sunday, July 30. This is an all-ages event that’s scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m., and the entrance fee ranges from $45 to $99.

The Roots is one of the most influential and impactful hip-hop collectives of all time.
