“Glory to God in the Highest” Gospel Concert Set For Dec. 13 in Discovery Bay

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the “Glory to God in the Highest: Hope Rising” gospel concert and national prayer gathering will take place at the Discovery Bay Community Centre and Recreational Grounds.

The evening concert runs from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., featuring performances from Sister Arlene, Petra Kaye, Kukudoo, Aaron Miller, Bro Delli, and the Unity Singers. Prior to the main event, children can enjoy dedicated entertainment starting at 2:00 p.m.

A national prayer segment is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., led by several pastors and church leaders, including Bishop Benbow of Zion New Testament Church of Christ the Redeemer, Rev. Kadian Smith of Old Folly NTCOG, Rev. Philbert Whynn of Browns Town United, Rev. Patrick Hibbert of Runaway Bay Moving COG, and Rev. Havar Hunter of Pentecostal City Mission.

The programme will be guided by a team of dynamic hosts—Markland Edwards, Marsha Ali Purple, and MC Teddy—with livestreaming provided by Info Media.

In support of families affected by Hurricane Melissa, attendees are encouraged to participate in the event’s “Food Drive” by contributing items or whatever they can afford.

Island Tribe Collective Hosts “WE CAN” Benefit Concert on January 9 in the Bahamas

The Island Tribe Collective will host an uplifting benefit concert — titled “WE CAN Benefit Concert” — scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM, to be held at The Amphitheater at Nassau Cruise Port in the Bahamas. The event is more than just music: it’s an effort to support islands affected by Hurricane Melissa.

The “WE CAN” concert will feature an impressive lineup of artists, including headliners Kevin Downswell, Jonathan Nelson, and Sherwin Gardner. Additional performances will come from Colyn Kristopher, Marc Isaacs, Alyssa Joseph, Davian Chase, Onaje Gibson, Oslein Jadorte, John Yarde, Renwick Duesbury, Trenika, Jaiciko Lawrence, Landlord — plus several more artists still to be confirmed.

At its core, the benefit concert aims to give back. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods or other non-perishable items as their “entry.” For those unable to attend in person, there’s also the option to donate directly. The proceeds and contributions raised will be directed toward relief efforts for the communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

Jodian Pantry Set to Headline Back-to-Back Caribbean Christmas Concerts in New York

Gospel recording artist Jodian Pantry is set to deliver two uplifting performances as part of Braata Productions’ annual Christmas Grand Market: A Caribbean Celebration, scheduled for December 6 and 7, 2025, in Manhattan and the Bronx. On December 6, the event will be held at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater (John Jay College of Criminal Justice), located at 524 W. 59th Street in Manhattan, and on December 7, it will take place at Harry S. Truman High School, 750 Baychester Avenue in the Bronx.

Pantry, whose music continues to resonate worldwide, will take center stage as one of the marquee performers for the weekend. The Jamaican gospel recording artist first gained attention as a child in the JCDC gospel competition and later rose to national prominence as the runner-up on Digicel Rising Stars. Since then, she has performed extensively internationally and locally while building a steady recording career. In 2025, she continued her momentum with the release of “In Your Name” on June 21 and her holiday single “My Christmas” on November 29.

The Christmas Grand Market, a longstanding community event organized by Braata Productions, combines tradition, entertainment, and cultural pride. In addition to featured performances by Pantry, the event will showcase appearances by other entertainers such as Mystic Saxx, Andrew Clarke, the Braata Singers, and a vibrant Jonkanoo parade. Attendees can also look forward to a Caribbean Christmas exhibit, artisan and cultural vendors, and the aforementioned family-friendly Christmas concert.

You Gotta Chill Concert Series — presented by Jermaine Dolly & Friends — brings together an all-star lineup to The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 8:00 PM.
