On June 20th in the year 1986, British-Irish singer-songwriter Chris de Burgh released the second single from his Into The Light album. It’s a captivating love song called The Lady In Red, which became a massive worldwide hit and is – to this day – de Burgh‘s best-selling single and signature song.
Over the years several artists from various genres have shared their rendition of the track, some removing ‘The’ from the title and opting instead to just call it Lady In Red. Ghanaian reggae act Tradition Man Wolo, is among the performers that’s released a remix. His version, which carries the original title – was featured on his 2022 debut album, Reggae Man.
Fast-forward to 2023 and Tradition Man is now sharing the song’s official video. It was shot and edited in Accra, Ghana by famed Director Tee, the man who is also responsible for Wolo‘s previous clip, Come Home.
The Lady In Red is the third single from Tradition Man Wolo‘s Reggae Man album. It follows the lead track, Back Again, and the recently shared Come Home. This project has, in a short period of time, catapulted Tradition Man Wolo from a virtual unknown – in the music industry – to a highly respected African reggae artist.
