NY’s Original Dumpling Shop Partners With Richie Stephens For Back To School Event

The Original Dumpling Shop, located at 3435 Baychester Avenue in the Bronx, New York, would like parents with kids who will be going back to school this fall to come out on September 3rd as they will be having a family fun day, dubbed Vybing With The People. Over 100 school bags, free haircuts, food, and other items will be given away to attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Additionally, international recording artist Richie Stephens, who recently released the now trending Street Gospel Riddim, will also be on hand to truly vibe with the people. There is no cost associated with this event.

Zally Added To Afro Vibes Tampa’s “All White Party” This Friday

Toronto Boyz Take Over – an entertainment company based in Toronto, Ontario – will be having their bi-weekly Afro party, dubbed Afro Vibes Tampa, this Friday, September 1st, at 8022 North 56th Street in Tampa, Florida (USA).

The event, which began in June of this year, initially featured only African music and themes, but at the requests of their patrons they have since incorporated Caribbean sounds, thus transforming the affair into more of an Afro-Caribbean gathering. 

To that end, they’ve invited Jamaican reggae lyricist Zally – who is currently promoting his recently released EP, Am Reggae – to perform at the forthcoming ‘All White’ staging. As the special guest artist, Zally will do a complete set, which will includes some of his newer songs, as well as some old fan favorites.

Catch Mikey Spice At The Westchester Reggae Festival On Sept. 2nd

After announcing their initial lineup, which includes Third World, Luciano, Derrick Barnett, and the Statement Band, the organizers of the 2023 Westchester Reggae Festival have now added Mikey Spice to the program.

Beenie Man, Busy Signal On The Lineup For ‘Karibbean Rendez-Vous Festival’ (Paris)

Plage de Torcy – Route de Lagny 77200 – Paris is the location for the upcoming Karibbean Rendez-Vous Festival happening on September 9th and 10th. The two-day event will highlight the arts, food, music, culture etc. of the West Indies, and will present live performances by some of the Caribbean’s most notable performers.

Jamaica will be represented by the dancehall king Beenie Man, chart-topper Mr. Vegas, and emerging artist Lanae on day one (Saturday); while the international hit-maker Busy Signal is on the lineup for day two (Sunday).

The Prophetic Prayer Hour Conference Is Set For Sept. 1st In Toronto

The Prophetic Prayer Hour Conference, with hosts, Pastors Sam and Mary Oye, is all set for September 1st and 2nd at Rhema Christian Ministries – 40 Carl Hall Road – in North York, Ontario.

Gospel Superfest Live In Jacksonville

The Cartwright Family Foundation presents Gospel Superfest, a live recording for BET (Black Entertainment Television) on Saturday, September 23rd at the Jacksonville Center For The Performing Arts in Jacksonville, Florida.

The in-person event will feature performances by Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, Jekalyn Carr, Ricky Dillard, Shirley Murdock, DOE, Todd Dulaney, Koryn Hawthorne, Beverly Crawford, Demetrius West, Crystal Aikin, and Melvin Crispell III, with host Rocsi Diaz.

The show, which will also air on BET, starts at 7:30pm and passes are available exclusively via ticketmaster.

Arrested Development’s “People Everyday” 30th Anniversary Shows

In 1993, the legendary Grammy Award winning band Arrested Development released their classic single People Everyday, and it immediately catapulted their careers to a whole new level. To that end, they have been doing a series of shows in honor of its 30th anniversary.

One of the events that’s on their itinerary is Music at the Intersection, happening on September 9th and 10th at the Grand Center Arts District in St. Louis. Following that, on September 16th, they will be at the Roaring Riot Kickoff Jam at the NoDa Brewing Company (North End Taproom) in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The other two dates in September are on the 23rd – at the Delicious Music Festival in Johannesburg – and at the end of the month, September 29th through October 1st, at the Caloundra Music Festival in Queensland, Australia.
