JanJan Promotions presents Warriors of Faith Holiday Gospel Concert on Thanksgiving Weekend, Saturday, November 25th, at the House of Hope Theater – 4650 Flat Shoals Pkwy – in Decatur, Georgia.

Tyler Little, Earnest Pugh, Zacardi Cortez, Kelontae Gavin, and special guest and worship leader Keyla Richardson, will all be performing. General admission is $35.

Kenya’s Diaspora Homecoming Jamboree Festival

Every year on December 12th the Republic of Kenya commemorate their independence with a slew of activities leading up to, and even after the actual date. This year is their 60th anniversary, so it goes without saying that Jamhuri Day celebrations (Jamhuri is the Swahili word for “republic”) will be in full swing.

One of the most anticipated affairs for 2023 is the Diaspora Homecoming Jamboree Festival which is set for December 16 at Mambo Leo Stadium in Kisumu County. The is an all day event that will feature international artists Lutan Fyah and The Itals, as well as several local acts.

Petra-Kaye, Kevin Downswell & Others For Free Gospel Concert In St. Ann

There will be a major gospel concert at the Discovery Bay Community Centre in St. Ann (Jamaica) on Saturday, December 16. Dubbed, Glory to God in the Highest, the event will feature a host of top-tier gospel performers.

The lineup includes Petra-Kaye, Kevin Downswell, DJ Nicholas, Kukudoo, Sister Arlene, Lubert Levy, Almarine McBean, Leonell Teape, Brother Delly, and the Unity Singers. Popular Christian selector DJ Chinny is also on the program.

Wesrok, Jamaica’s King Of Country-Reggae Takes His Music To Nashville, TN

Jamaica’s king of country-reggae music, Wesrok, who although fairly new on the scene, is already attracting the attention of established country music insiders. The Bog Walk, St. Catherine singer is currently in Nashville, Tennessee – a place most famous for its status as the long-time capital of country music.

His trip to Nashville was timed to coincide with the 2023 CMA (Country Music Association) Awards, which took place at the Bridgestone Arena on November 8th. Despite the fact that Wesrok was not booked for the show, he and his team used the event as an opportunity to network and introduce his style of country-reggae to others in the genre. 

Additionally, he visited two of the leading country music studios, where he and their representatives discussed the possibility of future collaborations. He was also featured on Riseup TV’s The Legacy In Motion Tour, held at 3rd & Lindsley on November 7th.

This Nashville stint will be followed by another short media promo tour in the state of Florida. There Wesrok is expected to do interviews and make several public appearances.

Celebrating Lady Carla J. Debnam’s 60th Birthday

Dr. Carla J. Debnam, the leading lady and an associate minister at Morning Star Baptist Church in Maryland, will be celebrating her 60th birthday with a major concert.

Scheduled for Sunday, December 17th on the church grounds (1512 Woodlawn Drive – Baltimore), the event will feature performances by Karen Clark-Sheard, Terrance Smith, Melvin Crispell III, Nadja Scott and Divine Anointing. The confirmed master of ceremony is Trini Massie. Click here for tickets.

90’z & Up Dancehall Bashment

This Friday, November 10th, Unity Entertainment will present 90’z & Up Dancehall Bashment, with selectors Tony Matterhorn, Banky Hype, Supa Twitch, Navis Bomb, Rookie and DJ Aye. Dancehall artist Demarco will also be in the building.

The event will be held at Glitz of Atlanta – 7342 Stonecrest Concourse – in Lithonia, Georgia. Starting time is 10:00 PM, and there is a $30 entrance fee.
