Juneteenth Parade & Festival

This Saturday, June 8th, San Francisco’s second annual Juneteenth Parade & Festival will honor Black freedom, heritage, and achievement.

There will be creative floats, live music, and many special guests at the Parade, which will start at 11:00am at Market and Spear Streets (near the Ferry Building) and continue 13 blocks west down Market Street, with an end point at Fulton Plaza (near Civic Center, behind City Hall). Here the Festival – a celebration with incredible musical performances, food and drink, games, and so much more – will be held.

Rapsody, Goapele, Larry June, D’Wayne Wiggins (from Tony! Toni! Tone!), The Glide Choir, Dustin Sharpe, Ronski, Stunnaman02, and the Feline Finesse Dance Group, are just some of the confirmed performers.

The 2024 Tampa Bay International Carnival

The 2024 Tampa Bay International Carnival is just around the corner, and it promises to be an unforgettable weekend of pulsating rhythms, dazzling costumes, and mouthwatering island cuisine.

On Saturday, July 13th, and Sunday, July 14th, the Carnival will take over Albert Whitted Park (480 Bayshore Drive Southeast) in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida. The festivities will run from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. both days, giving plenty of time to soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

This year’s event is hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Central Florida, Inc. Headlining the festival are Kes The Band, Desperados Steel Orchestra, reggae legends Inner Circle, Don Chezina, Notch, and many more.

When the live acts take a break, the following DJs will fill in: OsoCity, David Marquez, DJ Spice, DJ Kirky C, DJ D-Nero, and DJ Lips Int’l. These talented spinners will keep the Carnival vibes going strong throughout the weekend.

Rep Your Flag With Teflon Young King & Naturalvybz Issential

On Friday, June 14th, the electrifying energy of Teflon Young King and Naturalvybz Issential will be in Rochester, New York. The men will headline the “Rep Your Flag” reggae-dancehall party at Blue Skye Events (Skye Lounge) which is located at 1425 Mount Read Boulevard.

DJ Fiyah Kidd and DJ Ezee are also on the program. The party starts at 10pm local time, and tickets, which are going for US$29, can be purchased from Eventbrite.

Big Vybz with Christopher Martin in Junction, St. Elizabeth On June 9th

The incredibly talented Christopher Martin will perform at Deerrs Bar and Chill Restaurant in Junction, St. Elizabeth, on Sunday, June 9th, at an event called Big Vybz. With hits like “Cheaters Prayer,” “I’m a Big Deal,” “Let Her Go,” “Is It Love,” and “Dreams of Brighter Days,” Christopher Martin is a staple on the reggae and dancehall scene.

But Martin isn’t the only reason to show up at Big Vybz. Captain Collin Hines will be on the decks, juggling tracks to keep the energy high all night long. And with Pretty Boy Floyd hosting, the vibe is sure to be right. General admission is just J$5000, and VIP tickets are J$8,500 at the door.

Droop Lion & Lutan Fyah Will Perform At The Webster On July 19

Two Rastafarian voices are joining forces for an unforgettable night at The Webster in Hartford, Connecticut. Droop Lion and Lutan Fyah will take the stage on Friday, July 19, to deliver a performance that promises nothing but authentic roots-reggae music.

Droop Lion, a proud member of the Rastafari community, is known for his strong lyrics that reflect his deep commitment to social justice and black unity. While the highly respected Lutan Fyah is a veteran musician and singer who has a commanding stage presence and a loyal following.

Tickets for this event are just US$30 at the door, a small price to pay for an evening with two of reggae’s most compelling artists.

Light On A Hill

Kingdom Muzic presents the 3rd annual Light on a Hill service and block party on Saturday, July 20th, starting at 2:00 p.m.

This isn’t just a block party – it’s a purpose-driven gathering to uplift, inspire, and give back to the community. It will be at the Destiny Life Center (3601 Warsaw Street) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. All are welcome!

As students prepare to head back to school, the Kingdom Muzic crew is stepping up to support local families. They will be giving away free school supplies to help ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed. The heart of Light on a Hill, however, is powerful music ministry. See lineup below.
