Glacia Robinson and Kevin Downswell to Perform at Agent Sasco’s Grateful Concert

The Grateful Concert, hosted by Agent Sasco, is set to take place at the UWI Bowl in Kingston, Jamaica, on Sunday, December 29th. This event will feature performances by two esteemed Jamaican gospel artists: Glacia Robinson and Kevin Downswell.

Glacia Robinson, an acclaimed singer, songwriter, composer, producer, and author, previously collaborated with Agent Sasco on the track “Mama Prayed” approximately six years ago. Kevin Downswell, who shares a history with Agent Sasco as a fellow alumnus of Camperdown High School, will also grace the stage.

Doors for this much-anticipated event will open at 4:00 PM, with the concert scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

KRS-One Confirmed For The Midway SF On Jan. 17th

Hip-hop legend and teacher KRS-One will make a rare appearance at The Midway, a dynamic and interactive 40,000-square-foot live music venue located at 900 Marin Street in San Francisco, California, on Friday, January 17.

Presented by SF Hip-Hop and The Midway, this event will also feature DJ Qbert, Seiji Oda, and Stunnaman02. It will start at 8:00 pm, and tickets can be purchased on Tixr.

A Night Of Grace

Imperium Dei Inc. will be having ‘A Night of Grace’ at the Atlanta Symphony Hall (Woodruff Arts Center)—1280 Peachtree Street NE—on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

It will be hosted by Griff of Praise 102.5, and there will be performances by Darlene McCoy, Antoine Hilton, and two-time Stella Award winner Lisa Knowles and The Browns. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased on the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s official website.

Mykal Rose Goes Afrobeat!

Legendary Jamaican singer Mykal Rose, who is most widely known for a successful tenure as the lead singer for Black Uhuru (1977 to 1984), followed by a lengthy solo career doing roots reggae, is apparently now working on an Afro-beat album. 

The announcement was made by a representative of Kingmaker Music, a record label and music marketing company. The first single from Rose‘s upcoming Afrobeats project is “Diamond in the Ruff,” released in mid-November via the aforementioned imprint. 4 nights, 8 shows with Raheem DeVaughn In Atl.

Four-time Grammy-nominated singer, platinum songwriter, and passionate health and human rights activist Raheem DeVaughn will do eight shows at Atlanta’s City Winery on January 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th. 

Three of the 8 are already sold out. On each of the aforementioned dates, Raheem will do two sets, one at 6:30 pm and the other at 10 pm. 

Raheem DeVaughn, a masterful architect of soul music, has continuously ascended the ranks of artistic brilliance. His debut album, The Love Experience, reached No. 46 on the US Billboard 200 album chart. It featured the singles “Guess Who Loves You More” and “You.” His second album, Love Behind the Melody, was released in January 2008.

Minister Denzel Washington!

The public baptism of mega Hollywood star Denzel Washington is one of the most talked-about occurrences within the Christian community so far this month. Washington got baptized and ordained as a minister on December 21, 2024, at the Historic Kelly Temple Church of God in Christ.

Following the baptism, both Denzel Washington and his wife of approximately 40 years, Pauletta Washington, gave inspirational speeches. A couple of noteworthy things that Denzel said in his statement are: “It took a while, but I’m finally here… If [God] can do this for me, there’s nothing He can’t do for you. The sky literally is the limit.”
