As the year progresses towards its culmination, the Nyahman Bushman is preparing himself for a particularly busy festive season. Having commenced 2023 with the release of his now-trending track “Whyne Dung” on January 19 through his own Burning Bushes Music imprint, Bushman has experienced a meteoric rise in visibility. The song swiftly captured the attention of audiences, propelling him into a whirlwind of performances both in Jamaica and internationally.

Throughout this year, Bushman‘s schedule has been filled with various engagements, most notably highlighted by his recent appearance on the JamRock Reggae Cruise, where he delivered a stellar performance that resonated deeply with fans and attendees alike. As we approach the end of the year, it is confirmed that he will continue to be in high demand. He is among the cultural artists confirmed for Reggae Sting on December 26th, and On December 31st, he is slated to perform at the esteemed 5-A-Side Football Finals at Albion in St. Thomas alongside notable artists such as Louie Culture, Frisco Kid, Sizzla, and Thriller U.

Looking ahead to 2025, Bushman‘s career trajectory shows no signs of slowing down. He will kick off the new year with an anticipated set at the annual Eastern Extravaganza on January 1st at Mountain View Oval. The combination of his artistic talent and relentless dedication promises an exciting future as his song “Whyne Dung” continues to captivate audiences around the globe.

After becoming disillusioned with the music industry, emerging Rastafarian artist Sheldon Gava opted to take a brief hiatus that lasted approximately two years. It was only through his association with like-minded music enthusiasts at large-scale, multi-genre music festivals that he began to rekindle his passion for combining words and melodies. 

With his renewed excitement for creating tunes, Sheldon Gava has decided to get back in the game. As such, he will be releasing a new track titled “Read” on January 1, 2025. While making the announcement, Gava said the following: “New Year’s Day represents a new beginning, growth, and wishful thinking of changing for the better. “Read” answers the question, Should old acquaintances be forgotten? Yes, whenever necessary.”

Sheldon Gava was born in Old Harbor Bay, St. Catherine, Jamaica, but grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Among his discography is a ten-track album titled “Natty De Ras,” which was released in October 2020 on his own Gava Music LLC label. That was followed by “Weather Change,” a seven-track EP that was officially published on April 30th, 2021.
