Keywee Preps EP & Readies Himself For U.S. Tour

Emerging dancehall artist Keywee is poised to elevate his career with an ambitious plan for his inaugural U.S. tour this year.

Together with his management team at 7 Gate Record, a Canadian music label with which he forged a production and management deal in 2019, Keywee is diligently working on securing performance dates. Several promoters have already shown interest in working with the talented deejay; however, they await the approval of his work visa before finalizing arrangements.

In the interim, Keywee remains industrious by focusing on the development of a seven-track EP that is set for release in 2025. Although he has not yet revealed the title of this upcoming project or an official release date, he has disclosed that it will include an exciting collaboration with popular reggae soul artist Ginjah.

This endeavor reflects both Keywee‘s artistic growth and dedication to expanding his impact within the music industry as he prepares for what promises to be a transformative chapter in his career. Third World Will Perform In Chico, CA On April 11th

Lost On Main, arguably the best live music venue in downtown Chico, California, will present a night of authentic reggae music on Friday, April 11th, 2025.

They have confirmed Jamaican reggae fusion band from the 70s, Third World, as well as rising star Kumar Fyah, Grammy-nominated artist and producer King Hopeton, and Rastafarian roots chanter Iqulah. Lost On Main is located at 319 Main Street.

Brownz Records is proud to present “Divine Riddim,” their latest compilation that showcases a remarkable blend of local and international reggae artists. This seven-track EP features music from notable performers including Lutan Fyah, Turbulence, Chezidek, DJ Yawdaz, Legal Votg, and Norris Man.

The compilation is enriched by an instrumental track that complements the six vocal performances. Each artist brings their unique style to the project, predominantly delivering lovers-rock tunes that resonate with themes of love and connection. Lutan Fyah Displays “Strength & Resilience” With New Album

Lutan Fyah‘s new album “Strength & Resilience,” released at the end of February (2025) via Grade Records, is being described as euphoniously pleasing and inspirationally satisfying. Fans and supporters of the veteran reggae singer were not surprised by the positively charged thirteen-track record, which only has three collaborations: “Just The Time” (track #4), done with Akae Beka; “Freedom Sound” (track #9), done with Chronixx; and “Days after Summer” (track #12), done with Queen Omega.

Anyone paying close attention will agree that Lutan Fyah is an outstanding songwriter. Furthermore, he has a unique style and a captivating energy that set him apart from his colleagues. All that can be heard and felt is on “Strength & Resilience.” After carefully listening to this album, it is difficult to pick one, or two, or even a few songs that stand out, and that is because the entire project is excellent. Each song carries its own message and is well delivered and produced.

Bitty McLean Joins UB40 & Ali Campbell On The UK Leg Of Their Upcoming Tour

English reggae and pop band UB40 will be going on tour with Ali Campbell in the spring and summer, and they’ve invited British reggae, lovers-rock, and ragga singer Bitty McLean to join them on the UK dates.

Sheldon Gava Launches Campaign Against Guns With New Single

Poet and recording artist Sheldon Gava has just released a new single titled “Guns Down.” This is not just another record shared to extend his music catalog; it’s the single behind a carefully crafted campaign designed to highlight the dangers of guns.

Sheldon Gava‘s message about the risk involved in having a gun, whether for protection or outright evil intent, can be seen and felt in the short film (music video) for “Guns Down.” The visual, which preceded the audio by one day, was uploaded to Gava‘s YouTube channel on March 20. Acted out by Jamaican students, it shows three teenagers arguing in the streets in Old Harbour, with one eventually attempting to resolve the conflict by shooting another. The story takes a twist when the gun accidentally goes off and shoots the mother of one of the teens instead.

On its own the clip is very powerful; however, it’s even more impactful because Sheldon Gava has chosen not to appear in it at all, allowing viewers to focus all their attention on the story being told.

Bunji Garlin Will Be In Jamaica For RYTZ

I Love Soca Jamaica and Tipsy Music Festival present RYTZ, an all-inclusive shindig on Carnival Thursday, April 24, in Kingston, Jamaica. The exact location will be announced at a later date.

Trinidadian ragga soca artist Bunji Garlin is confirmed to perform. Some of his earlier hits include “Big Bad Soca,” “Differentology,” and “Famalay,” which was done with Skinny Fabulous and Machel Montano.
