Two R&B giants, Tamia and Joe, will be doing a short stint in several southern states in the U.S. this fall. The first show will be on Friday, October 4th at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. It will be followed by nine more concerts, with the last being in Houston on November 16. The 15th Edition Of ONE Musicfest (OMF) Is Set For Oct. 26 & 27

The Southeast’s largest two-day urban progressive music festival, ONE, is set to take place on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th. It will return to the historic Piedmont Park (1071 Piedmont Avenue NE) in Atlanta, Georgia, where the entire event will be staged outdoors.

Funk & Soul Music Legend Frankie Beverly Has Died

On Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, the music industry lost a gifted soul as it was reported that Frankie Beverly, founder of the legendary funk and soul band Maze, passed away. He was only 77 years young. The sad news was shared on social media by the Beverly Family. See the full post below.

During this time, as we are navigating feelings of sorrow, reflection, and remembrance we kindly ask for privacy and understanding, allowing us the space to grieve in our own way. This period for is one of healing, and your respect for our need for solitude is appreciated as we honor the memory of our beloved Howard Stanley Beverly known to the world as Frankie Beverly.

He lived his life with pure soul as one would say, and for us, no one did it better. He lived for his music, family and friends.

Boyz II Men Will Perform In Kingston, Jamaica On October 26th

Famed American R&B vocal group Boyz II Men will perform on the lawns of The University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, on Saturday, October 26, 2024. General admission tickets, which are going for US$100 and VIP passes, which are US$170, can be purchased online via Caribtix.

Boyz II Men first achieved commercial success in 1991 with the release of their singles “Motownphilly” and “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday”; both songs entered the top five on the Billboard Hot 100. Their 1992 single, “End of the Road,” also climbed to the top of the chart, where it spent a record 13 weeks.

They later broke this record with the singles “I’ll Make Love to You” and “One Sweet Day” (a collaboration with Mariah Carey), which, at 14 and 16 weeks, respectively, set records for most weeks at number one. When “On Bended Knee” took the number one spot away from “I’ll Make Love to You,” Boyz II Men became the third musical act, after the Beatles and Elvis Presley, to replace themselves atop the Billboard Hot 100.

Janet Jackson Announces Las Vegas Residency For The Upcoming Winter Season

American pop star Janet Jackson has announced that she will be doing a residency in Las Vegas in the upcoming winter season. It will commence on December 30, 2024, at the Resorts World Theatre and will remain in effect until February 15, 2025.

The Las Vegas Residency follows the Together Again U.S. summer shows performed earlier this year, as well as the upcoming U.K. and Europe concerts scheduled for this fall. Click here for tickets.

After 7 & Ready For The World Will Perform At The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre On Sept. 4th

1980s R&B group After 7, known for their platinum-selling self-titled debut album released in 1989, will perform at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre (2600 E Atwater) in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday, September 4th.

The concert will also feature another breakout 80s band, Ready For The World. This ensemble scored several pop, soul and dance hits in the mid to late 1980s. Tickets for this event can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
