Juneteenth Parade & Festival

This Saturday, June 8th, San Francisco’s second annual Juneteenth Parade & Festival will honor Black freedom, heritage, and achievement.

There will be creative floats, live music, and many special guests at the Parade, which will start at 11:00am at Market and Spear Streets (near the Ferry Building) and continue 13 blocks west down Market Street, with an end point at Fulton Plaza (near Civic Center, behind City Hall). Here the Festival – a celebration with incredible musical performances, food and drink, games, and so much more – will be held.

Rapsody, Goapele, Larry June, D’Wayne Wiggins (from Tony! Toni! Tone!), The Glide Choir, Dustin Sharpe, Ronski, Stunnaman02, and the Feline Finesse Dance Group, are just some of the confirmed performers.

The Spiral Mixers’ Debut Album “Crossing Bridges” Now Available on Streaming Platforms

The Spiral Mixers, a new all-star music ensemble founded by singer, songwriter, musician, and producer Josh Harris, are thrilled to announce that their debut album “Crossing Bridges” is now available on streaming platforms via Big Feet Records, the label owned and operated by Harris.

“Crossing Bridges” is a multi-genre LP featuring 15 inspirational and feel-good tracks that showcase the incredible talents of top-tier musicians and vocalists from around the world. It brings together a diverse group of artists, all of whom are current and past collaborators and friends of Josh Harris, who served as the creative and executive producer of the project.

The album features Glen Ricks, Harmonique, Nikki Burt, Chuck Phalen, and Josh Harris on vocals; Santa Davis and Josh Harris on drums; Russ Pahl, Anthony Cinquini, and Greg Douglass on guitar; Mark Simms on bass; Mark Stanley, Bill Jason, John Sutton Smith, and Josh Harris as songwriters; Josh Harris on keyboards; Tommi Tikkenen as mixing engineer; and Earle Holder as mastering engineer.

Roots Picnic 2024 Is This Weekend!

The wait is almost over – Roots Picnic 2024 is descending upon Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this Saturday and Sunday, June 1st and 2nd! The legendary music festival, curated by the one and only The Roots, promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and community.

Hip-Hop 4 Peace

Collaborating Partners: M Power Change, Make the Road NY, New York Communities for Change, CUFFH, Jay Boogie Love, and BLOQUE, are supporting The Action Lab and The Center For Popular Democracy as they present a night of hip-hop, calling for a permanent ceasefire and an end to civilian suffering in Palestine, DR Congo, and Sudan.

It will take place on June 2nd at Roulette (509 Atlantic Avenue) in Brooklyn, New York. The lineup includes Ana Tijoux, Smif-N-Wessun, M1 and Umi from Dead Prez, Emilio Rojas, Waheeb Nasan, and more. Confirmed host is Suheir Hammad.

Juneteenth Arts In The Park!

Mark your calendars for Friday, June 14, 2024, as that is the date for the Juneteenth Arts In The Park celebration at Norvell Band Shell in Manhattan, Kansas.

Headlining the evening is the incredibly talented Grammy Award winner, Regina Belle. With her powerful voice and captivating stage presence, Belle is sure to deliver a performance that will leave the audience in awe. Her music beautifully blends elements of R&B, soul, and gospel, creating a unique sound that resonates with listeners of all ages.

The “Ladies Love R&B” Tour Heading To Providence & Albany

Rapsody Announces Tour Dates For “Please Don’t Cry”

North Carolinian lyricist Rapsody has surely come a long from just dropping mixtapes and being a featured guest artist on other people’s projects. Since the release of her 4th studio album, Please Don’t Cry, the consensus within the hip-hop community is that Rapsody is now the new force in the rap game.
