Hip-hop duo Method Man & Redman will perform at the Township Auditorium (1703 Taylor Street) in Columbia, South Carolina’s capital city, on Friday, October 18. The men will be joined by several emerging acts: Skyzoo, Landon Wordswell, Trvy & The Enemy, Bakari JB & Rayel, PATx, and DJ SCrib.

On Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, the music industry lost a gifted soul as it was reported that Frankie Beverly, founder of the legendary funk and soul band Maze, passed away. He was only 77 years young. The sad news was shared on social media by the Beverly Family. See the full post below.

Famed American R&B vocal group Boyz II Men will perform on the lawns of The University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, on Saturday, October 26, 2024. General admission tickets, which are going for US$100 and VIP passes, which are US$170, can be purchased online via Caribtix.
Boyz II Men first achieved commercial success in 1991 with the release of their singles “Motownphilly” and “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday”; both songs entered the top five on the Billboard Hot 100. Their 1992 single, “End of the Road,” also climbed to the top of the chart, where it spent a record 13 weeks.
They later broke this record with the singles “I’ll Make Love to You” and “One Sweet Day” (a collaboration with Mariah Carey), which, at 14 and 16 weeks, respectively, set records for most weeks at number one. The journey of Jamaican-born, America-based recording artist Mr. Pike has not been an easy one. The singer, songwriter, producer, and businessman sadly lost his first wife, Tasha Pike, in 2017. Her passing had a devastating impact on Mr. Pike, because in addition to being the love of his life, Tasha also played an instrumental role in the success of his business.
Not being one to stay down, and also for the sake of the kids, Mr. Pike has since picked himself up, pushed through the pain, and now considers himself a happy man, despite all that he has been through. A big part of that happiness is his new love interest, his current wife, Chavannie Pike, whom he wedded in 2023. Mr. Pike is so overjoyed that he has written a song about his life, with an emphasis on his present-day relationship.
The single, which went live on streaming platforms earlier today, August 30, 2024, is titled “This Ring.” Categorized as reggae, “This Ring” is fused with afrobeat and even has elements of amapiano.
