Jamaican gospel recording artist Papa San began 2026 with the release of his EP My Worship, which arrived on January 1. The six-track project is a concise but well-rounded body of work that balances testimony, praise, and reflection.

One of the EP’s standouts is “Nobody Like You,” an honest and gripping declaration of faith in which Papa San expresses the uniqueness of Jesus Christ. The track is delivered with conviction and simplicity, underscoring the personal nature of the message. In contrast, “Radar” is a high-energy, hardcore performance that recalls Papa San’s pre-conversion dancehall days, marked by rapid-fire lyrical delivery and intensity that longtime listeners will immediately recognize.

“No Flesh” brings a modern dancehall sound paired with a timely spiritual message. On the track, Papa San addresses the dangers of relying on human weakness, openly referencing struggles such as lust and pride while emphasizing the need for spiritual discipline. “Don’t Worry” provides musical balance on the EP, offering a smooth, inspirational reggae groove centered on God’s reassurance and comfort in times of uncertainty.

The project also showcases stylistic variety with “Stay True,” a vocal-forward, almost a cappella track where minimal instrumentation allows the message to take center stage. The EP closes with “Fill Me Up,” a traditional reggae-gospel song that reinforces themes of surrender and devotion.

Dawn Penn, Scientist, Eek-A-Mouse & Others for Live ’N’ Direct in Bristol

Live ’N’ Direct Reggae Legends is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 31 at Motion in Bristol, UK. The event is presented by Horizon Promotions in collaboration with Irie Heights, two promoters active within the UK reggae concert circuit.

The headline performers include Eek-A-Mouse, widely recognized for his distinctive vocal style and contributions to reggae and dancehall; Dawn Penn, whose recording career spans several decades and includes internationally known hits such as “No, No, No”; and Scientist, a pioneering dub engineer whose work has played a significant role in shaping the sound of modern dub music. Additional appearances are scheduled from Tippa Irie, Kiko Bun, Sasha Steppa, and Gabbo Z, with a DJ set by Laid Blak.

Trench Town Culture Fest 2026

The Trench Town Culture Fest takes place on February 4th, 2026. Hosted by New Age Rockers and the Trench Town Culture Yard, it features live performers Earle “Chinna” Smith, Lutan Fiyah, Erup, Kahpun, Queen Iminah, Dahvid Slur, and Ras-I, alongside numerous others.

The event will be held at Vin Lawrence Park, located on 1st Street in Trench Town. Gates are scheduled to open at 3 PM, with the main show commencing at 6 PM. To ensure a seamless musical experience, the festival also feature a dedicated roster of selectors and disc jockeys, including Icebox, DJ Nattty of King Harar Sound, DJ Steamaz, DJ Brixx, and Satta Sound.

Major Reggae, Dancehall & Gospel Acts Confirmed for the 2026 Love and Harmony Cruise

The 2026 Love and Harmony Cruise sails from Miami, Florida, aboard the Norwegian Jewel on April 1–6, 2026. The itinerary includes a stop in Freeport, Bahamas, on April 2, followed by a visit to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on April 4, with additional days at sea dedicated to onboard festivities and musical entertainment. The cruise returns to Miami on April 6, with an early-morning disembarkation.

Headlining the cruise is reggae legend Beres Hammond, alongside powerhouse performers Busy Signal, Maxi Priest, Romain Virgo, Agent Sasco, Pinchers, and Tanya Stephens, each representing a distinct era and style of Jamaican music.
