Roots Picnic, one of hip-hop, R&B, and indie alternative’s biggest annual music festivals, will take place at Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park from May 31st to June 1st, 2025. The event is named after its founders, legendary rap crew The Roots.

This year’s diverse lineup includes D’Angelo, Lenny Kravitz, Miguel, Tems, Jagged Edge, Musiq Soulchild, Ceelo Green, Crystal Waters, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, and The Roots, and that is just to name a few. For additional information and links to tickets, visit therootspicnic.com

Black Thought and Questlove‘s ensemble, The Roots, will be performing at one of Canada’s largest entertainment complexes, Rebel, which is located at 11 Polson Street in Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, June 21.

The Roots are known as one of the best and most influential hip-hop bands of all time. They are frequently praised for their live instrumentation, jazz-infused sound, and excellent stage presence.

1990s hip-hop MCs Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler, Mariana “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira, and Craig “Doodlebug” Irving, collectively known as Digable Planets, will perform at The Espee on Saturday, June 21st.

Since January of this year, Havoc (from Mobb Deep), Big Noyd, and DJ L.E.S. have all been trekking across Europe serving up authentic hip-hop at various sold out venues. The timeless poet and rhyme master Nasir Jones, known professionally as Nas, will embark on a series of concerts alongside the Las Vegas Philharmonic this summer.

The shows, which will all be at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, will take place on July 9th, 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th. The starting time is 8 PM each night. Click here for tickets.

As Indian hip-hop continues to claim its position on the world stage, Mass Appeal, the imprint co-owned by American rap legend Nas, presents The World Reunion Charity Concert.

Powered by Royal Enfield Hunter 350, this event will feature Nas, DIVINE, Raftaar, King, KR$NA, Dabzee, and others at the Nesco Center, Hall No. 5, in Mumbai, India, on Saturday, April 19th. On Friday, April 18, 2025, legendary emcee Rakim will perform at the Bethesda Theater—7719 Wisconsin Avenue—in Bethesda, Maryland. This is an 8:30pm show that will feature opening tracks by DJ Zu Crates of Soul.
