The collective is currently seeking a Sound Engineer/Studio Manager to oversee studio operations and help capture the band’s signature sound, as well as a Social Media/Visual Creative to produce compelling photography, videography, and digital content that authentically connects with audiences worldwide.

The Roots Picnic is crossing the Atlantic for its first-ever London edition, set to take place at Crystal Palace Bowl on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, 2026.

The two-day event opens on Saturday with a special two-hour joint performance from Nas & The Roots, one of the most anticipated collaborations of the festival calendar. Also on the Saturday bill is Sasha Keable, alongside a headline Super Set featuring J.Period’s Live Mixtape with Black Thought, Yasiin Bey, and Benny the Butcher, plus a set from Nia Smith.

Sunday brings a soulful close to the weekend, with performances from Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild, as well as a rare hometown return from Floetry — their first London performance in over a decade. The evening culminates in a Sunday Jam with Robert Glasper & Questlove, joined by special guests Common and Bilal.

Gotts Street Park with Olive Jones also features across the weekend, with sounds by Benji B on both days.

Hip-hop artist Common is set to perform at the 2026 Taste of Chicago, one of the nation’s largest and longest-running food festivals. The Chicago native will take the stage at Grant Park on Saturday, July 11, as part of the festival’s free five-day entertainment lineup.

Returning to its traditional mid-July dates for the first time in several years, the Taste of Chicago will run from July 8-12, following the cancellation of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race. Alongside its renowned culinary offerings, the festival continues its tradition of pairing world-class food with outstanding live music.

Chicago lyricist Chance The Rapper will headline “A Juneteenth Celebration” at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, June 19, marking his first appearance at the iconic Los Angeles venue since 2017.

Billed by the LA Phil as a tribute to Black music, freedom, and artistic excellence, the family-friendly evening will open with a DJ set from D-Nice and feature performances by Vic Mensa and the DC6 Singers Collective Gospel Choir. Gates open in the early evening ahead of an 8 p.m. showtime.

The City of Jonesboro in Georgia will mark Juneteenth 2026 with a free community celebration themed “Rhythm, Roots, & Resilience,” set for Friday, June 19, from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Lee Street Park Amphitheatre, 155 Lee Street.

The evening’s headlining performance features Goodie Mob, with members Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp, alongside additional acts including Bishop William Murphy, Kasper & The 911 Band, and poet Hank Stewart. The program will be hosted by Casual Cal of UniverSoul Circus, with music provided by DJ Maurice.

Beyond live performances, attendees can expect a drone light show, fireworks display, food vendors, and other community entertainment throughout the night.
