Digable Planets’ “Blowout Comb” Australia Tour

This March, American hip-hop trio formed in the 1980s, Digable Planets, will do a short stint in Australia to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their second studio album, “Blowout Comb.”

They will perform at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Thursday, March 6; Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Saturday, March 8; and at the WomaDelaide Festival in South Australia on Monday, March 10.

“Blowout Comb” was released in October 1994 on Pendulum/EMI Records.

Arrested Development Shares Five-Track EP “All I See Is Melanin”

Arrested Development, one of hip-hop’s most socially conscious ensembles, has kicked off 2025 with the release of a new single called “All I See Is Melanin.” With four different mixes, the track was shared to streaming platforms as an EP on February 7th via Vagabond Productions.

Redman & Method Man Share The Visual For “Lalala”

Hip-Hop’s dynamic duo Redman and Method Man have teamed up once again! The pair have been collaborating since the mid-1990s and have served up several hit singles. Their latest joint effort is “Lalala,” track #6 on Redman‘s “Muddy Waters Too” album.

On February 5th, they shared the official video “Lalala,” sending their fans into a frenzy. According to a lot of their supporters, the energy and vibe in the video are reminiscent of hip-hop in the 90s. MC Lyte’s ‘1 Of 1’ Tour Starts In Mid February

MC Lyte, one of the pioneers of female rap, will be going on tour in mid-February to support her latest album, “1 of 1.” The seventeen-track project was shared in September 2024 via My Block Inc., and it features collaborations with a slew of artists: JoiStaRR, Stevie Wonder, Common, Warryn Campbell, Lil Mama, and others.

The tour will start on February 13 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and as of this writing, will wrap up on March 16 in Lansing, Michigan. For the complete schedule, visit mclytenow.com.

Talib Kweli Shares Visuals For “Sing Into The Sky”

“Sing Into The Sky,” track #12 on Talib Kweli‘s latest album, “The Confidence of Knowing,” done in collaboration with J. Rawls, now has some visuals. The rapper uploaded the clip, which was shot by Chino Chase, to his YouTube channel on January 27.

Super Bowl Soulful Celebration 2025

The live taping for the 26th annual Super Bowl Soulful Celebration will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans, Louisiana, starting at 7:30 pm.

Bill Bellamy and Rocsi Diaz will host, with performances by Yolanda Adams, Lucky Daye, the Isley Brothers, Tori Kelly, Muni Long, Jonathan McReynolds, Big Freedia, Master P, Trombone Shorty, and the NFL Players Choir.
