New Song & Video From Akon “Akon’s Beautiful Day”

Senegalese-American singer-songwriter, record producer, businessman, and philanthropist Akon has released a new single called “Akon’s Beautiful Day,” a remake of Jamaican gospel singer Jermaine Edwards‘ 2014 hit song with the same name.

A Benefit Gospel Concert For Lt. Stitchie

The Jamaica Gospel Music Industry will be having a benefit concert for veteran dancehall lyricist turned gospel artist Lt. Stitchie. It will be on Friday, October 18 at the New Testament Church of God located at 65 Waltham Park Road in Kingston, Jamaica. 

As this is a fundraising event, all attendees will be asked to contribute a minimum of J$2,000 at the gate. There will be performances by several top-tier gospel artists.

JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise Live Reunion Recording

On Saturday, November 23, all the members of Youthful Praise (new and old) will join JJ Hairston at The Gathering Place (4703 Marlboro Pike) in Capitol Heights, Maryland, D.C., for a Live Reunion Recording. Top Finalists Announced for Antigua Barbuda Global Music & Media Awards

This past Tuesday, the 10th Annual Antigua Barbuda Global Music & Media Awards (ABGMA) announced the top finalists for the Island Groove Awards, Media Awards, and Gospel Music Awards via their official Facebook and Instagram pages.

With over 60 categories and 245,143 votes cast across three segments, the finalists represent the pinnacle of creative and media excellence and showcase the diverse talent in music, media, and entertainment from Antigua, the Caribbean, and beyond.

The ABGMA will kick off on Thursday, November 28, 2024 with an Empowerment Summit preceding the Embark Gospel Voice-Caribbean Edition Artist Showcase. The Summit will feature inspiring talks from industry professionals, including Andrew “Smilus” Dorsett, Lady C, and Shoggy Shoggz. It will be hosted by Dr. Apostle Stanshaw Cornelius, founder and chairperson of ABGMA and president/CEO of So Arise Music International.

 Artists, musicians, and other industry professionals are invited to register to attend both the Empowerment Summit and the Embark Gospel Voice-Caribbean Edition Artist Showcase for free. Praise In The Park 2024

Everyone is invited to Emancipation Park in Kingston, Jamaica, for the annual Praise in the Park gospel concert on Thursday, October 17, starting at 5:30 p.m. local time. This year’s performers are Kevin Downswell, Johnmark Wiggan, and Carey Sayles, with host Markland Edwards at the helm. It is free and open to the public.

VaShawn Mitchell’s 48/25 Celebration

American gospel singer and songwriter VaShawn Mitchell, who has produced several Stellar Award-winning projects and songs for Grammy winners Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Smokie Norful, will celebrate both his 48th birthday and his twenty-five-year music legacy at an event aptly called 48/25 Celebration.

Although his actual birthday is on November 19, the affair will be on Saturday, November 16 at Greenwood Oasis (7621 S. Greenwood Avenue) in Chicago, Illinois. Carey & Sharilyn Sayles’ Album Launch & Concert

Christian power couple Carey and Sharilyn Sayles will be launching their album, His Goodness, on Saturday, November 2nd, at the Swallowfield Chapel in Kingston, Jamaica.

Presented by their own Sayles International Music Ministry, the event will also double as a gospel concert that will feature performances by Sister Pat, Hilkaiah Jones, Dennis Rushton, Osanna Praise, Humble, and others. It will be hosted by comedian and TV personality Ian ‘Ity’ Ellis.
