Minister Grange Announces Global ‘I Love Jamaica’ Concert Series to Aid Hurricane Recovery

The Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, has announced a series of fundraising concerts to support Jamaica’s recovery efforts following the devastating passage of Hurricane Melissa. The initiative, titled “I Love Jamaica,” will include five major concerts to be held locally and internationally, featuring some of the island’s finest reggae artists and musicians, along with international friends of Jamaica. All proceeds from the events will go directly toward the national recovery program.

The first event in the series is scheduled for November 14, 2025, at the National Stadium Car Park in Kingston, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Additional concerts are being planned for London, New York, Toronto, and South Florida.

Beyond fundraising, the I Love Jamaica concert series forms part of a wider initiative led by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport to restore morale, uplift the national spirit, and encourage volunteerism during the recovery period. The Ministry is collaborating closely with the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, and other government and private-sector partners to coordinate relief efforts and mobilize volunteers.
