Approximately two years ago, emerging recording artist Vazasha Peters and established international vocalist Mr Easy met by chance. Peters was wrapping up a session at Voice Stream Studio in Queens, New York, and Mr Easy showed up early for his. After being introduced by the engineer, the two stayed in touch and have now collaborated on a much-needed, timely song called Suffering.
The rhythmic, mellow, and intense reggae track touches on several social issues plaguing the world, with a special emphasis on the violent crimes happening in Jamaica. That observation was corroborated by Vazasha Peters‘ statement: “We need more love and compassion on this earth we call home. “Suffering” sends a message to the world but mostly to the youths. I hope they take heed to the corruption that occurs in the systems they’re surrounded and programmed by that could affect their lives and damage their future. It’s a plead for peace.”
Mr Easy added: “What I would like listeners to take away from this song is let’s stop the violence in our communities. Let’s come together to try and eliminate hunger. Be kind to others who are less fortunate.”
Suffering is featured on the Uptown Living Riddim, which was produced by Fudjie of Knowledge Records. It can be streamed and/or downloaded from all music platforms.
