Commissioner Maxwell B. Chambers, in association with Inner Circle, is hosting the Praise on the Green Gospel Extravaganza as part of the Reggae Month South Florida celebrations. The event features a lineup of renowned performers, including Minister Marion Hall, Otis Kemp, and Rev. Mark Brown & Choir.

The extravaganza takes place on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 7 PM to 10 PM at the Miramar Town Center, located at 2300 Civic Center Place in Miramar, Florida. As a free community event, it offers an accessible opportunity for the public to engage with the rich cultural heritage of gospel and reggae music.

Reggae Veterans Hopeton Lindo and Anthony Malvo Spotlight Mental Health in New Visual

Reggae veterans Hopeton Lindo and Anthony Malvo have officially released the music video for their collaborative single, “Mental Health Awareness”, on February 18, 2026. The powerful visual brings renewed focus to the important subject of mental health, reinforcing the song’s central message of compassion, understanding, and support for those facing internal struggles.

The video delivers a striking and emotional presentation, interweaving scenes of individuals grappling with mental health challenges alongside footage of Lindo and Malvo performing the song. The artists are shown both in the studio and in various everyday settings, creating a relatable and authentic atmosphere that underscores the reality many people experience. The production was executed by Winston Price Films/On Set Ja in collaboration with Flexx TV.

Recognizing the far-reaching impact of mental health issues across communities worldwide, Lindo and Malvo joined forces to amplify awareness through this heartfelt release. Written and produced by Lindo for Irie Pen Records“Mental Health Awareness” also features multi-instrumentalist Paul Gauntlett and harmony vocalist Shauna “ShaunaDazzle” Dixon. Engineering was handled by Syl Gordon, with mixing and mastering completed by the Heavybeat Crew.

Originally released on November 7, 2025, “Mental Health Awareness” continues to gain significant momentum across key markets. It has held the number one position on the South Florida Reggae Chart for the past three consecutive weeks and is steadily climbing other major charts, including the Jamaica Music Countdown.

Little Hero to Perform in North Carolina on March 28

Venom, God Alone, and Island Cuisine will present an event called Back to Basics on March 28, 2026, at 2025 East Arbors Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina. Powered by Venom International, the event will feature a live performance by veteran reggae-dancehall singer Little Hero, who is known for his faith-based and conscious lyrics.

Music will be provided by Venom International and DJ Sheezy, with Stella Unruly serving as host for the night. Admission is $25.

Reggae Legends to Congregate for Little John’s Birthday Bash

The Jamaican music community is preparing for a massive celebration as Little John‘s Birthday Bash takes over Spanish Town this spring. Scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, it will be held at 1 Sydenham Avenue in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

The event features an extraordinary lineup of legendary performers, headlined by the guest of honor himself, Little John, alongside Everton Blender, Luciano, Admiral Tibbet, George Nooks, Tristan Palmer, Echo Minott, Admiral Bailey, and Josey Wales. The Abyssinians and Big Youth Announce Roots & Culture #5 European Tour

Legendary reggae artists The Abyssinians and Big Youth are set to headline Roots & Culture #5, presented by Médiacom, with a series of live performances across Europe in May 2026.

The tour begins on May 6 in Barcelona and continues through Perpignan, Bilbao, Lisboa, Biarritz, Miramont de Guyenne, St Sauveur en Puisay, Paris, Ris Orangis, and Lille. The second leg includes performances in Nijmegen, Sneek, Chaville, Prague, Berlin, Dortmund, Audincourt, Genève, and concludes in Cissac Medoc on May 31.

Renowned for their classic harmonies and enduring anthem “Satta Massagana”, The Abyssinians remain pillars of roots reggae, while Big Youth, a pioneering deejay known for his dynamic stage presence and cultural commentary, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
