Chance The Rapper to Headline Juneteenth Celebration at the Hollywood Bowl

Chicago lyricist Chance The Rapper will headline “A Juneteenth Celebration” at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, June 19, marking his first appearance at the iconic Los Angeles venue since 2017.

Billed by the LA Phil as a tribute to Black music, freedom, and artistic excellence, the family-friendly evening will open with a DJ set from D-Nice and feature performances by Vic Mensa and the DC6 Singers Collective Gospel Choir. Gates open in the early evening ahead of an 8 p.m. showtime.

Jonesboro to Host “Rhythm, Roots, & Resilience” Juneteenth Celebration**

The City of Jonesboro in Georgia will mark Juneteenth 2026 with a free community celebration themed “Rhythm, Roots, & Resilience,” set for Friday, June 19, from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Lee Street Park Amphitheatre, 155 Lee Street.

The evening’s headlining performance features Goodie Mob, with members Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp, alongside additional acts including Bishop William Murphy, Kasper & The 911 Band, and poet Hank Stewart. The program will be hosted by Casual Cal of UniverSoul Circus, with music provided by DJ Maurice.

Beyond live performances, attendees can expect a drone light show, fireworks display, food vendors, and other community entertainment throughout the night.

AFRAM at 50: Baltimore Celebrates Five Decades of the East Coast’s Largest Free African-American Festival

Baltimore’s iconic AFRAM Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026 with a three-day event at Druid Hill Park. Presented by the Mayor’s Office of Arts, Culture & Entertainment in partnership with Baltimore City Recreation & Parks, the free festival returns over Juneteenth weekend and continues its longstanding tradition as the largest free African-American festival on the East Coast.

The event marks the 30th anniversary of two defining releases from the Boot Camp Clik roster: Heltah Skeltah‘s debut Nocturnal and OGC‘s Da Storm, both of which arrived in 1996 and cemented the collective’s reputation as one of New York’s most formidable underground forces. The dual-act billing makes for a rare full celebration of that era.

The show is part of SummerStage 40, Capital One City Parks Foundation’s season marking four decades of free outdoor performances across New York City’s parks.
