Warrior Sound has released the official video for Fantan Mojah‘s “Confidence,” giving the 2022 reggae recording a bright and colorful visual filmed on Bastimentos Island (Old Bank), Bocas del Toro, Panama. The video premiered on YouTube on September 11, 2026, and can be viewed on the YouTube channels of Reggae Night Bocas and Warrior Sound Int.

Throughout the video, Fantan Mojah performs “Confidence” at several locations while interacting naturally with people in the community. In some scenes, he exchanges fist-bumps with locals as they pass, adding a personal element to the visual. Between the performance scenes are brief glimpses of everyday surroundings.

The song carries a message of faith and inner strength, with the known Rastafarian artist expressing his confidence in the God he serves and his refusal to be troubled by the actions or opinions of man. The video‘s vibrant imagery and community-focused moments complement that message while showcasing the character and atmosphere of Bastimentos Island.

The video was directed by DJ Dillo of Reggae Night Bocas, with production by Red Eyes Corp. The production team also includes Art Department by Mabe Guiraud, PA Maia Guiraud, 1st AC DJ Chiqui Dubs and 2nd AC Vertex. Reggae Night Bocas is credited as the production company.

Kingston’s reggae and dub poetry community will gather this evening to celebrate the life and legacy of Michael “Mikey” Smith, the pioneering Jamaican dub poet whose voice remains one of the most powerful in the genre’s history. The tribute, titled “Remembering Mikey Smith,” forms part of the Inner City Dub series and is billed as a Roots Rockers Reggae Dub Session.

The event takes place Monday, September 14, 2026, from 7 PM to midnight at Nation Lounge, 2A Milk Lane, Spanish Town Road, in downtown Kingston.

Smith, born September 14, 1954, was killed on August 17, 1983, at the age of 28. His work — delivered with a searing, rhythmic intensity — gave voice to the struggles of Jamaica’s urban poor and helped shape dub poetry into a globally recognized art form. His death, widely viewed as politically motivated, cut short a career that had already left an indelible mark on Caribbean literature and performance.

Monday’s session will feature live performances from Duane Stephenson, The Great Owl, Diamond X, and Kacy Garvey, alongside special guest performers and speakers. The lineup also includes contributions from Honor Ford-Smith, Blakka Ellis, and Mbala Mgabo. DJ Architect will hold down the selections for the night.

Denise Isis Miller will serve as master of ceremonies, guiding the evening’s programme of tributes and testimonials honouring Smith‘s life, artistry, and enduring influence on Jamaican culture.

The event is presented by I-Nation Edutainment and the Conscious Reggae Party, with admission set at “Love & Light” — a call for attendees to come with an open spirit and full appreciation for the music and message.
