Blacspade’s Debut EP “I Love You” Drops On November 27th

Jamaican reggae artist Blacspade, also known as Rasta Blacspade, who is based in the U.S., will be releasing his first EP on November 27th, 2024. Since becoming a finalist in the 2023 I.R.A.M.A. (International Reggae and Music Awards) competition, Blacspade has been working assiduously to create music that would not only resonate with the masses but would also provide useful information that’s beneficial to their lives.

He now believes that his upcoming seven-track EP, titled “I Love You,” which was produced by Dub Chemist, a highly respected Jamaican music creative, has the aforementioned ingrediencies. According to Dub Chemist“This is an EP for everyone, because it speaks to issues that affect families across the world. It (I Love You) is redirecting our attitudes, which are fundamental to the upliftment of the entire human race. If each of us said, I love you, to the creator of this world and toeveryone, there would be more peace and not pieces to fix in our daily lives.”

As a forerunner to this project, Blacspade, in collaboration with Dub Chemist, shared three singles: “Jah Jah Live,” featured on the Satta Masagana Riddim; “Love Over All Things,” presented on the Royal Plus Riddim; and his latest, “Rastafari Is The Saviour.”

Dollarman’s “So Tired” Has Entered New York’s Top 30 Reggae Chart

After being released approximately two months ago, Dollarman‘s latest single, So Tired, has already been added to The Foundation Radio Network NY Charts, a graph that is widely recognized as an indicator of how a reggae track and/or album is doing in New York and, in some cases, the broader Mid-Atlantic states.

So Tired is an inspirational roots tune that was penned by Dollarman and produced by both he and Bernard Joseph (IOBI). Published on 420 Records at the beginning of September, the song serves as a general response from anyone who has been, or is currently being, gaslighted, bullied, misled, etc. “I’m so tired of running—it’s been a long time coming. The time is now, the place is here, and I’m ready to overcome my fear.” The preceding are words used in the first half of the chorus.

The backing vocals for So Tired were done by Naomi Trench (also known as Makedah). It was mixed in Jamaica by legendary record producer and sound engineer Karl Pitterson, who is credited for the following Steel Pulse albums: Handsworth Revolution (1978), Tribute to the Martyrs (1979), and True Democracy (1982).
