Recording artist, producer, and businesswoman Joanna Marie makes a powerful return with her new album “Covered in Soul”, released today, Friday, October 17, via Global Digital. The project is a collection of classic love songs reimagined through the warmth and rhythm of reggae.

Roots reggae fans are in for a treat on Sunday, November 2, when acclaimed artist Perfect Giddimani takes the stage at Ivan’z House, the live music venue located on the second floor of Mozambique Restaurant, 1740 S. Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, California.

The event is part of the venue’s popular Reggae Sunday series, which highlights influential artists and selectors from the reggae scene each week. For this special edition, Perfect Giddimani will be joined by the Purity Attack Band.

Every Saturday in October, Ulysses Folk House, located at 58 Stone Street in New York City, will hosts its annual Oktoberfest series. The month-long event will feature some of the region’s best live performers, representing a wide range of musical styles.

On Saturday, October 25, the final night of Oktoberfest, the lineup will include The Big Woozy Band, Savannah Jaine and her band, and veteran reggae artist Winston Irie along with The Selective Security Band. Savannah Jaine kicks off the day’s entertainment at 3 p.m., followed by Winston Irie & The Selective Security Band at 6 p.m., and The Big Woozy Band closing the evening at 9 p.m.
