Jamaican roots reggae singer Chezidek is set to return to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for a live concert as part of his 2026 Africa Tour. The performance follows an earlier stop in Togo and marks Chezidek’s long-awaited return to the Ivorian capital, eight years after his last appearance there.

Chezidek will perform on Friday, October 23, beginning at 10:00 PM at AZK Live, formerly known as Champion Live. The open-air venue is located along the lagoon in Cocody Blockhauss, Abidjan.

Tickets are being released in three stages. The Flash Early Bird rate is 5,000 FCFA and will be available exclusively on September 28 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, with only 30 tickets available and a limit of four per person. Presale tickets will be offered at 10,000 FCFA from September 30 through October 15, with 100 promotional tickets available. Reggae artist Mr. Cool has returned to Canada following a little over a month in Jamaica, where he attended to personal family matters while also advancing his music career.

During his time on the island, Mr. Cool filmed three music videos for his previously released songs “All Those Lies” and “Ibrahim Traore,” as well as his newest single, “They Don’t Want Us To Know.” All three videos were filmed by Maria Jackson 27 and are currently in the editing stage.

The visuals will be released individually over the coming months. Mr. Cool also plans to return to Jamaica before the end of the year for additional promotion and media appearances.

Niagara Falls will get a taste of Jamaican music this Thanksgiving long weekend. Kings of Kings, in association with Plush Imperial, presents the second edition of the Reggae Ambassador Dinner & Dance Gala on Saturday, October 10, at The Columbus Room, 6969 Stanley Avenue.

The agricultural community of Mocho is gearing up to showcase Jamaica’s agricultural excellence at the highly anticipated Mocho Pear Festival. Initially scheduled for an earlier timeframe, organizers have announced a new official date for the gathering: Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Lennon High School.

Attendees can look forward to a diverse, family-friendly lineup of activities that celebrates regional farming and explores creative culinary uses of the avocado. The event will also feature a marketplace for local entrepreneurs and vendors.

Additionally, the festival will feature a robust entertainment segment with performances by Duane Stephenson, Aaron Silk, D Burnz, Iyasimba, the Gooden Sisters, Orkyd, Buzz, In2Nation Band, and others.
